  1. Thank you so much for your post. Yours really made me feel better. It is comforting knowing your not alone.
  2. I could sworn LB goes to size 26/28. Could be wrong though.
  3. I got approved in 1 day!!!!!:faint::confused: My doc's submitted Thurs. and they called me on Fri. to say I had been approved. I love you BCBS of California!:kiss2:
  4. Hey SElaine. Congrats again. From a size 28 to 18/20. That is awesome. In 4 months, that is even more amazing. I actually have my first appt. with Dr. Debarros on Wed Sept. 12th. My mom has already started the process (testing, nutrition, psych). Right now I am doing my part to get as much info as I can so when I go I will have most of the paperwork. I have been running all over town getting all of my medical records. I have BC/BS of California. They told me I needed a letter of Medical Necessity, Psych, and Nutritional eval. So I am praying I get approved. I was curious SElaine, I keep reading threads about people eating and experiencing the dreaded PB. Has this happened to you? (you don't have to answer if you don't want to) Also what is your diet like post lapband? Thanks. Seminar Sept 1st First Consult Sept 12th WILA Dr. Debarros
  5. Thanks guys for all the info. I live in AZ but have BC/BS of California. I hope your right Becky and everything goes speedy.
  6. Thanks so much for all the info SElaine. You were so honest. It is nice to hear a first hand account of what goes on. I am glad to hear I made the right choice going with Dr. Debarros. My mom is working with Dr. Orris (Dr. Debarros didn't take her insurance). I saw your progress. WOW! From size 28 to 22. That is awesome. I can't wait to feel better, but I must admit it is going to be nice to shop some where besides Lane Bryant.
  7. Hello. I was wondering if anyone has dealt with BC/BS of California? Were they pretty generous with coverage? Do they make do a 3 or 6 mo. supervised diet? :help: Thanks
  8. Hello everyone. I am a new member to this forum. I am soooo happy I found this website. It is awesome all the support and information they have. I am in the first stages of beginning the lap band process. I have decide to go with Dr. Debarros at WILA. I was very happy to see all the wonderful things people had to say about this program. Now, I have heard conflicting reports about the hospital stay. Some pt's had to spend the night, some were outpatient. I would love to hear everyone's experience about the actual hospital stay (how long, swallow test, etc). Thanks guys. :clap2: Hope to join the lap banders club soon. :whoo:
