    March 2014 Sleevers

My hubby says NO. He says take 2. Like she said, you will more than likely still be fatigued, organs still getting back to normal working order...plus, I'm thinking about the bumpy ride you have. And to top it off, managing kids. I'm a teacher (high school) and you may not have the energy to properly deal with them.

    Georgia?

I don't know how to do it, but you can try to msg cobra5000 (my husband). I'm sure he wouldn't mind. He was sleeved March 28. Do you mean you're all alone like not knowing any other sleevers or what?

Try a cracker. Just chew until completely mushed.

    Who is in March?

He's doing great! More energy when working out, getting more water down, vitamins everyday since we got home, still working on protein. So far, eggs, fish, lima beans, and homemade fruit smoothies all going down nicely. Not much nausea, no pain! Down 32 lbs since 2 weeks pre-op. He doesn't weigh daily. He weighed at the doc and only a couple times since surgery at the gym. I, however, am only down around 8 lbs in that time (but I am a little pleased to have dropped back below the 300 mark). Hopefully mine will improve, as I will soon be getting my very own elliptical :-) If you are going to continue to weigh daily, consider using the scales that provide the breakdown between fat and water weight, and bmi. While it's great to lose pounds period, it's even more important that weight is fat and not muscle! Also remember muscle weighs more than fat, so as you increase your exercise, a stall could really be muscle replacing fat (which would still be a loss). Stay focused and stay positive!!!
  6. It's for my husband, but no we haven't yet. I prob will, but not until the incisions heal.

    I'm the spouse

2 week pre-op high Protein diet started 03/13; date of husband's sleeve 03/28 I'm down 8-9 lbs and he's down 32 lbs! :-D Though he's been being stubborn about not trying soft food until post-op week 3.

    March 2014 Sleevers

Susan, you are so right. Doctors, trainers, etc say weigh yourself no more than twice a week. I, too, have had many experiences where weight fluctuates day-to-day. It will drive you crazy if you let it!

    Who is in March?

At the hospital. Hubby was sleeved today. Doesn't like the groggy feeling he can't seem to shake. But has done at least 5 or 6 laps between falling asleep. :-)

Got my date - March 28

Okay so far. He started clear liquids today (well midnight last night). He said he was hungry a couple hours ago, but he hadn't had much today (only 1 protein and not even much juice). I told him he needed more protein though. An hour ago, he tried broth, but straight out the carton. He said it was horrible, so I'm gonna get him some stuff to boil in it to help flavor it. Fortunately, though, he said it is a little filling. One more day...he is ssooo ready to have the procedure and get started!!!
