  1. Congrats! There is nothing to be scared about. Just like pink dahila stated listen to your doctor and follow the rules. Good luck!

  3. Usually your NUT or doctor will let you know where you should be on calorie intake. My doctor wants me to be around 900-1000 calories a day. My advise is to see where they want your calories because everyone's NUT and doctor have different guidelines.
  4. I was also banded in March this year. In June my hair started coming out. I got the Nioxin Shampoo and am taking biotin and that seems to be helping. You will get through this and you are doing awesome!
  5. Ok my final weight for the month was 198.
  6. I do not have any problems eating salad. I eat one usually everyday. For lunch I mix grilled chicken that is already precooked. I have learned that in order to know if you can eat something, you just have to try it. Everyone is different. I cannot eat turkey lunch meat where I see others can. I hope this helps.
  7. I woke up this morning and weighed 199.2. I am so happy to see that number, it has been over 7 1/2 years. I couldn't wait to share it with everyone. Have a great Thursday everyone!
  8. Last night I jogged for 32 minutes and did 350 jump ropes. It was extremely hot outside or I would of jogged longer. I live in south Texas where we get no relief from the heat lol. Good job everyone. @@Junebug36 I would just recommend not to give up. The more you work out the more energy you will get. I feel more tired when I do not work out than when I do now. Good luck!
  9. I really enjoy reading everyone's post. I am going to start jumping in and input what my yesterday workout. I did a 5K in my back yard. It was slow but I am getting there it took 40 minutes. Also turned around and did 300 jump ropes. Everyone have a great workout today!
  10. I have the fitbit flex and love it. It links up with my fitness pal so it is easier to keep track. I have now set my goal to 12000 steps a day because 10000 was to easy. I hope this helps you decide. I just think it helps me keep pushing.
  11. You look Awesome!!! So happy for you!
  12. Awesome Job! I just went through some boxes of clothes this weekend, you know the ones that you will lose weight to fit into. Well guess what I fit into them, size 14. It has been years since I have seen a 14. Also my weight is not moving either, but something is working. Keep up the great work!
  13. You are doing great by the way. First off my port area stayed sore for almost 2 months. Even at almost 5 months banded if I bend the wrong way it hurts. Second thing I would stick to doctors orders. I even thought the same thing, everything is going down good should I try something solid. You are still healing so please do not try anything besides what the doctor has ordered. I think I started adding salad in about week 5-6. Last thing I will pray for you. Good luck and keep up the good work.
  14. I know how you feel. For the first time in a long time I have been happy when I wake up. Awesome job keep up the great work.
  15. I have noticed this. I am down almost 50 pounds, and people are holding the doors open more and smiling. I guess it is not something one would know unless they have seen the changes themselves. I personally also have had friends treat me differently. They were happy with me being bigger then them, but now that I am losing weight they do not talk to me as much as they use to or hang out. I am ok with this because I am finding out who my true friends are.
  16. Congrats on being banded. I was told by my Dr. to eat 60-80 grams of protien a day. When it comes to deli meat my band does not like it. It hurts really bad and I do not know why. It is the only food that hurts to eat so far. I love my food scale and use it on a regular basis. This might be something you might want to invest in. Good luck.
  17. You are such an inspiration. I love all your pics, you look amazing. Thank you so much for your posts. I really do enjoy reading them.
  18. Awesome job! I have been hugging the 200 mark for a couple of weeks as well. I just keep waiting for the day I enter the onederlands. You are such an inspiration and keep up the good work.
  19. Things have been good. Last month was slow and I have an apt on Thursday for another fill. I can let you know then.
  20. 200 this morning, so close to onederlands.
  21. I was banded over 4 months ago and last month I only lost 1 pound. It happens to just about everyone. You just cannot give up, you will make it through this. Losing 29 pounds is awesome by the way, good job!
  22. I was banded in March, so a little over 4 months ago. My surgeon advised me to eat between 800-1000 calories a day and to make sure my protien is somewhere between 60-80. I try to reach 80 grams a day. Good luck on your journey.
