  1. When you are jogging outside and see a small shadow and look around thinking someone is next to you. Then you realize it is you. Also you have to move the seat forward in your car because your belly isn't against the wheel anymore.
  2. 8/4-198 8/11-197 8/18-196 8/25-195 1 pound a week still!
  3. I had 3 cc put in my band at the time of surgery. I am now at 5.25 cc which the doctor has stated is my green zone
  4. I have to say awesome job on your weight loss. Everyone losses weight differently and I do not see any loss unless I workout. Also just to let you know I also still see the fat girl in the mirror. I believe that is a mental issue more than a weight one. So keep you the great work!
  5. I am sorry to hear about everything you are going through. Things happen that we cannot control, but it sounds like you are back on track. I slip every now and again and the next day I get back on track. You are doing great and I know you will keep up the good work!
  6. @@Bandista you are funny. I have never weighed less than my husband and we have been together for over 15 years. I think he has a gained a few pounds since my surgery because he eats my leftovers lol. I tell him its all part of my plan. If he gains and I keep losing then it will happen faster lol.
  7. I did the tuna salad, egg salad and chicken salad. I also ate baked potatoes, but have not since that stage because of the carbs. I would eat pudding, cottage cheese and I would mix fruits into my Protein shakes. I hope this helps.
  8. Awesome Job! I cannot wait until I am smaller than my husband. He weighs 165 so I a have a little bit.
  9. That is crazy how every Tricare region is different. I am in Texas and I just needed one visit to the NUT and one visit to a therapist. From my consult to my surgery was 5 weeks. I hope you can get moving with this process @jagc23. Good luck!
  10. Things will get better I promise. You need to not worry about weight loss yet because your body has gone through so much. You need to let it heal. I was able to have sugar free Jello and sugar free popsicles, so not sure what your doctor recommends. I also didn't like the Protein shakes but yes protein keeps you full longer so you should try to drink more. Good luck to you and this journey, I am sure you will do great!
  11. 8/4-198 8/11-197 8/18-196 1 pound a week!
  12. I have to say that I have been happier than I have been in years. This was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I hope everyone is as happy as us.
  13. As of my weight this morning I am down 52 pounds. That is a 50lb bag of dog food. That is crazy to even think like that.
  14. That is awesome! You look amazing!
  15. I was unsure who I was going to tell all together at first. Then I decided to pretty much tell my co-workers, boss and friends. It is not known on facebook or anything. I did have a friend that up until the day of surgery was asking me if I was sure I wanted to do this. Besides that everyone has been supportive. I don't know if this helps you or not. Good luck.
  16. I think I am personally sick of Protein drinks and was ok with the ones from GNC. For Vitamins I take prenatal ones and I take Biotin also to help with my hair loss. Since I was banded in March the only holiday I had was July 4th, and I was able to eat. I just eat less and I stay away from where the food is located. Everyone of my family and friends know I was banded so no one asks any questions. Good luck to you and your journey. I hope this information helped.
  17. I can feel my port without having to push down much. I just have gotten use to it. My doctor hasn't mentioned anything about it, so I never thought to much into it. Good luck with your journey.
  18. This Morning I weighed 197, lost 1 pound. 8/4-198 8/11-197
  19. I have told my family and friends. At first I was going to keep it quiet but changed my mind. I do not talk about it on facebook, because I am sure there would be some negative comments. Good luck!
  20. Personally I would call your doctor just to make sure, but I do not think it will bother anything. Good luck with your new journey!
  21. Mine lasted about 4 to 5 days. Everyone is different though. Try to walk as much as possible and you will get through it. Good luck!
  22. I have not tried bread since my surgery in March. The doctor said cut carbs and that is what I did. I do eat at subway though, I get the double chopped club salad and it lasts a few meals. Or my husband finishes it whichever comes first lol.
  23. It does depend on your doctor. I only had to do 1 week clear liquids post op. But it depends on the surgery you had also. So please follow your doctors orders, because they know you best.
