  1. I agree with the others, you're way too tight! Sorry to hear that you have to wait until Monday to see your doctor. I'm so fortunate because my doctor will come in or have someone on his staff come in when you have an issue with being too tight and it's the weekend.

You'll feel much better once you see the doc. Our bands are very finicky and even just 1 cc can make all the difference in the world sometimes.

Make sure you get enough liquid in so that you don't get dehydrated. As others have said, warm liquid sometimes goes down easier.

    Take care.

  2. I had my band placed by Dr. Adam Glasgow in July 07. Both of the Glasgows are skilled, caring surgeons. Dr. Adam did my gallbladder too. I can only say good things about them and their staff. The nursing group at the Caritas Norwood Hospital was good too. I just had my tummy tuck at Newton Wellesley and the nurses at Norwood were far more attentive than the Newton Wellesley nurses.

    Good luck.

    I love my band!

  3. Hi:

I asked at surgeon's support group why they don't use the smaller port. The surgeon said it's alot harder to do a fill on the smaller port, so he doesn't use it. He puts the port under the rib cage in the middle, so it's unlikely that anybody will be able to see it. I'm down to 199 and nobody can see mine, though I can feel it inside. It's kind of reassuring that I know it's always there along with my band - my belly cop.

    Good luck.
