Yes I've seen all of them and I love them all actually! They are even more encouraging and helpful after surgery.
I had my surgery on a Tuesday and was out on Friday morning. My pain was very managed and the nurses at the hospital are very very nice. One of them that handles weight loss surgery patients had gastric bypass 9 years ago and she'll show you before pictures.
You'll do great! The first couple days are the hardest but the more you walk the better you'll feel. I'd do it all over again tomorrow if I had to!

I have lost 101 pounds! That's 46 pounds since surgery, and I'm only 6 pounds away from 299. I can't wait to be under 300 pounds, I can't remember the last time I was in the 200s!

So since I'm in Florida I went to Disney with my best friend and I fit on everything. Got some really good food that didn't bother me to eat AND I fit on every single ride there was with extra room. I was so excited, then this morning I woke up and weighted myself and I was 5 lbs down! I have a fitbit which tracks your steps and I ended up taking over 26,000 steps.
I had so much fun and I'm glad I was able to keep up with everyone with no problem and didn't have to worry about not fitting on the rides.

Yes I get very bad chest and abdominal pains if it drink to much or to fast. I seem to be taking way bigger sips than I did right after surgery but my body definitely tells me when I'm doing something wrong. I know what you mean I wish I could just chug a whole glass of something. I hate taking little sips especially when I'm super thirsty!

I'm doing really well! I had my 6 week check up on Monday and everyone was extremely pleased with my progress. When I get down to my goal weight they might use me as a poster child, which they would show patients my before and after picture and I would speak to people just starting their journey. Sounds like an amazing experience to me. Eating and exercise I have done very well and I am starting to really feel like a normal human again, slowly though!
I've had a ton of NSVs, which is the best feeling in the world!!
Also, I'm visiting Florida in less than 2 weeks and I get to see my best friend for the first time in 2 years, he's going to be shocked when he sees me!
How's everyone else doing? Not many posts on here lately. Hope everyone is doing awesome.
    Highest weight; 406 lbs
    Surgery date; 355 lbs
    6 weeks out; 322 lbs.

Knees are feeling better and doing good with the routine.
    Loving Wendy's Chili.

zomgjj got a reaction from Doing It 4 Them in roller coasters ?!
So I'm from Ohio and am going to Florida in 2 weeks and my best friend is already talking about taking me to amusement parks. Probably either Disney or busch gardens.
My question is, anyone know how big is to big for roller coaster rides. The last time I was on a ride at busch gardens was almost 10 years ago and I had no problem fitting but I don't exactly remember my size.
I am as of right now 5'9 and 325 lbs. I will probably be 310-315 when I go.
Anything helps! I just don't want to waste the money or have to do the walk of shame because I can't fit.

I had a major non scale victory today.
I took my 2 year old to the park today and instead of walking around and just keeping an eye on him I was able to slide on the slide with him! He couldn't stop laughing and was ecstatic and I seriously almost cried that I could do these things now and because I can he enjoyed himself that much more.
Oh what a good day. I can't wipe the smile off my face. I haven't been able to fit on a slide in years!

I'm officially 80 lbs down! That a loss of 30 lbs since surgery. Heck yeah!
On a different note, can I acknowledge how much I hate dumping. I always vomit and then get the shakes and sweats and feel like crap. Why can't I just throw up and get it over with. Lol if only!

Dreaming, you should not feel pathetic! I know that feeling of desperately missing food all to well. I think for the first 3 weeks I would see ANY type of food and just think to myself "ohhhh that looks so good!"
Even when I was shopping I would check out at the counter and see all the candy bars and just break down and I rarely ever wanted a candy bar before surgery.
It does get better though! I'm almost 5 weeks out and my family so far has had so much fast food and we even had a birthday which I had to watch everyone eat cake and it didn't bother me which is crazy cause I lovvvvvee me some cake!
You just have to remember things take time! I was right where you are and I thought it was never going to get better but it did. Little by littlw, you got this girl. Just remember how badly you wanted this change before it happened, that's what I focus on.
As for everyone else I hope all is well. I will be 5 weeks on Tuesday. I'm doing pretty well other than no drinking while I eat. The biggest habit I have yet to break. It even gives me horrible pain and I still seem to catch myself doing it.
On the plus side I'm down 73 lbs which is 23 lbs since surgery. Thought I would have lost more but I'll take it!

I had a non scale victory today!
When I started my journey back in April 2013 I was buying 4x shirts and before surgery I was buying some 4x but mostly 3x and I went shopping today cause I haven't in so long. I automatically picked up a 3x shirt and put it in the cart. My mom pointed out that I should get a 2x so it would fit me longer than a 3x. Well I got a 2x and came home and it fits, like really good. So happy! I haven't bought 2xs in sooo long!
