  • @@SammyRN congratulations on your weught loss. Yes, I agree Dr. Khaitan and the staff are great. I had my surgery (gastric sleeve) April 29th down 50 lbs. I am glad I picked a great surgeon.

I had my surgery at Mt Carmel West, Columbus Dr Price one year ago Feb 14.

he's my Dr. Also

Great guy. I ended up with an open RNY due to

Scar tissue and an incisional hernia 7 months later and he did that repair laparoscopic in Nov. Make sure u write down all questions so u don't forget at your appts. He is a teaching Dr so u will have residents and student nurses in your surgery and possibly performing it. They are the ones who come see u first thing after surgery. Keep up with pain meds and walk, walk, walk!

thanks, I hope I don't have a student doing my surgery! I'll roll my gurney right out of there! ;) I have one more meeting with him so I'll be sure to write down my questions.

I had my surgery done at the Cleveland Clinic.

That's awesome...I'm doing mine at University Hospitals.

Hi all - I'm in the greater Cleveland area here in Ohio. I am an employee of and will be having my surgery at Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Philip Schauer. Just one last pre-op appt scheduled for 3/5/14 before I have my final clearance then I'll be waiting for the approval from insurance (which I'm told is just a few days turnaround) then I'll have my date.

I forgot to mention, I need to lose 8lbs prior to this next appointment so I'm dilegently working on watching my intake. Mentally preparing for the 2 weeks of liquids before surgery as well.
