  1. Thank you all so much for your kind words, it honestly means the world to me! I love that I could share my thoughts and feelings and know that I'm not alone in all this, believe me I don't want to go back to my old ways, I'm understanding the meaning of portion control and it's actually made me realize how I got this way, I don't know about you guys but I started noticing the huge portions I use to eat by seeing other people eat them, even though my husband has been very supportive he's not ready to start his weightloss journey yet which makes it a bit difficult but I'm learning to focus on the positives! I can't believe how some people think this is the easy way out, if only those people knew how much of a struggle it actually is I wouldn't hesitate to discuss wls with them, but the only way you'll know is having to go through it yourself, thank you again everyone and good luck to us all in meeting our goal! Have a great day!!!!
  2. Thank you! Glad to hear it gets better definitely looking forward to a healthier happier me!!!
  3. Thank you so very much, I feel a little bit lonely going through this, I'm probably one of the few people that haven't told anyone (other than my husband) that I had the surgery, I already see amazing results and I'm super duper happy, but it hasn't been easy, your absolutely right, the no complications so far have been a blessing, I just don't know anyone that has had the surgery so it makes it a bit hard to know what to expect
  4. Sometimes I wonder if I'll ever be able to feel the same way I did before the surgery? I'm currently on week 3 post op and I'm learning portion control, I'm just a little concerned that I will forever have the stomach pains every time I eat something new or something that disagrees with my new tummy. Sorry I'm having a little depression moment :,(

    Day 8...and really struggling

I felt exactly the same way!!! And there are days that I still do! I had mine done 1/10/3014 so I could definitely relate, I had a situation like that happen to me while making dinner for my husband, I was able to overcome it by having a shake and a popcicle, I'm relieved to hear that I'm not alone, I've heard people say the gastric sleeve is the easy way out, I don't think people realize how many changes you have to go through while on this journey, I'm sure we will be ok and it will definitely be worth it! Good luck!!!

    Gym?

How long after surgery can you start going to the gym? I've been taking walks around the block but that's pretty much it...
  8. Cauliflower... I'll make sure to keep that in mind when I'm able to eat it thank you yes it's still liquid base, it was lentils blended and strained, it was also my first day from clear liquids and protein shakes to creamier soups so that might have been it as well, thank you for your responses

Hello!! I'm sure everyone's plan is different but it was actually ok in my plan, they said stage three baby food was the best according to my dr. Good luck!!!
  12. Hi everyone!!!! I'm on day 6 post op and I've noticed that when I introduce new food to my new tummy it gives me some discomfort, kind of like an air bubble pain, it eventually goes away but I'm not sure if I'm the only one this is happening to?
