How much and when?

Hey there everyone,

I'm about a week and a half out (liquid diet with Protein shakes, non creamy Soups, and Greek yogurt). Before my surgery, I lost 45 lbs on my own; now I'm sitting at home with 6 belly scars wondering how much weight is going to come off and when it's going to decide to do so. I know that everyone is different so I'm just speaking generally. How much did you lose and what was the time frame? I'm not impatient (my surgery date was a year in the making) just curious.

Thanks :)

I was a slow loser. I lose around 2 lbs a week. Been pretty consistent from the beginning. Only lost 10 lbs the first month.

Wondering the same thing myself :) I'm on day 7, I weighed myself today and have lost 9 pounds after the surgery :)

I am 4 weeks out and I've lost 33 pounds, 26 since surgery.

Everyone is different.. I was real fast. I averaged 4-5lbs per week. Im almost at goal

I wish you the best and dont be discouraged you will hit small 2-3 week plateaus.

Your right everyone is different, I'm 4 months out and in the first 3 months I was averaging 3-4 a week now it ranges from 1-3! Knock on wood I've never hit a stall (fingers crossed). HW 280 SW 268 CW 207 total of 73 #'s and I've lost 61% if my excess weight ! I'm 2 away from doctors goal and 30 from my personal goal !

I just hit my 3 month post op date and have lost 48% or 68 pounds since surgery.

Hasnt been easy but totally worth it.

Great job gomekast!

Thank you septappt! I'm terrified it will stop..which is silly cause I know there's no possibility of that right now.

At 3 1/2 weeks out, I lost 28 pounds, but only 6 since surgery.

Don't kid yourself. Your hard work is making a big difference. People who eat sliders and drink too many Caramel Lattes don't get results like you are seeing. Congrats and keep it up!

my loss is slower than what some people are posting. My surgeon warned that with all the IV fluids and swelling etc the loss would not be much the first week, I did lose some. The next three weeks have been ok but my stomach still feels a bit swollen. Another factor for me is that I think my body is thinking it is starving due to several weeks with minimal calories. I found that doing some cardio has got my system burning fat again. I keep reminding myself that this is a life style change, not an instant fix. I am less worried about the weight loss than I am about the maintenance. The sleeve will work for you, be patient, follow the rules, be honest with yourself about what you are consuming, Even thought my NUT told us not to, I do track my calories, my workouts, Protein. My thought process is that if i don't see the loss over time I can show them honestly what my calories in and out are and they can figure out a remedy if one is needed.
