  1. Ok, this might sound like a dumb question... What is a NSV? Lol
  2. How do you know if you have hypoglycemia?
  3. Quest bars & Eas 15 Protein bars are the way to go. Quest bars have 21 grams of protein and only 3 carbs. The Eas has 15 grams of protein. The Cookies and cream quest bars are really good and the chocolate mint Eas bars as well. The problem with the beef Jerky and all those pre packaged meats, is the sodium content is way to high, be careful with that
  4. Hello all, I had my sleeve surgery on 2/3/14. Just curious how many calories every eats per day and what your serving size is per meal. My doctor told me I should eat 3-4 ounces per meal and my daily caloric intake should be no more than 1100 calories per day. What are your numbers?
  5. Hello all, Just curious if anyone here eats in between meals or do you just eat 3 meals. I am 2 months out and usually eat something every 3-4 hours
  6. How are you drinking your coffee?
  7. Are you guys drinking this coffee with cream and sugar?
  8. Hello all, Just wondering if anyone here drinks coffee after being sleeved. I'm 6 weeks out and haven't had any, but would like to lol
  9. Hello all, Just wondering if anyone here drinks coffee after their sleeve. I'm 6 weeks out and haven't had any yet, but would sure like some lol
  10. Just remember, that at 2-3 weeks out, your body is still healing. Those rules are set in place for a reason and would recommended that you stick with them. I am about 5 weeks out, and many times I have been tempted to advance my food stage, time goes by fast and you'll have the rest of your life to eat what you want. In my opinion, just stick to the dr's orders and you'll be fine
  11. Hello all, I am one month out, i was taking Vitamin chewables, but decided to switch to GNC mega man Vitamins and taking the pills whole. I should be able to take the whole pills with Water? Just want to know if anyone else was taking vitamin pills 1 month out
  12. Hello all, I am 1 month out of my surgery and we are at a party, everyone is having a great time, eating drinking, dancing and I'm here stuck in a corner because I can't really enjoy. This really sucks! Just wanted to put that out there
  13. The weird thing about it is that the headache goes away in a couple of mins. I'll try drinking more water to see if that helps and call my surgeons office on Monday
  14. Not exercising yet, I have to wait until 2 more weeks to get clearance and I'm on the purée stage I basically have 3 protein shakes, Greek yogurt and purée lentils with ground turkey
  15. Hello all, I had my surgery 2/3, almost 1 month ago. For the past week, I've been getting headaches every day. Does anyone know what this could be be? I've been drinking my Water and reaching my Protein goals. Has anyone else experienced this before that could shed some light into this?
  16. What kind of protein do you buy to put in your shake?
  17. It might be, just keep an eye out for it. If you only feel your chest pain when you drink something or move around, that's normal. It might also be gas as well, I would try taking some gas-x
  18. Your body just went through major surgery. I also experienced chest pains when I would drink Water or my Protein shakes, but that eventually went away. Are you experiencing chest pains all the time or just when you drink something?
  19. Congrats!! How were you able to get the proteins in? Through protein shakes or foods?
  20. You absolutely need 3 Protein shake per day, there is no other way you could get your protein intake without those 3 Protein shakes. Your body is an amazing specimen and it is still healing internally from a major surgery, give it some time and follow drs orders. I promise your weight will fall off
  21. Teachamy, how fast was your heart rate?
  22. I was in the hospital for 2 days, they have to do a leak test and make sure that you're tolerating liquids. Just make sure you walk a lot
  23. Wow, you are able to eat all that? I had my surgery 2/3/14 and am on the purée stage. Each stage last 2 weeks and went home on a full liquid diet.
  24. Hello All, I am 20 days out from my surgery and I've been drinking the Celebrate shakes that includes the Multivitamins in them plus 1000 B12 sublingual, should I be taking anything else? What did you guys take? (Iron, b-complex, d3 etc...)
  25. Hello all, Just curious on how many grams of carbs your doctor allows you to eat. Everything has carbs in them, even the Protein shakes
