In between meals

Hello all,

Just curious if anyone here eats in between meals or do you just eat 3 meals. I am 2 months out and usually eat something every 3-4 hours

I eat every 3 hours so I eat 6 times a day. Usually the Snacks between meals are small and light. Our tummys are smaller now and do not hold a what we used to so we have to eat small meals about six times a day.

I am one month out and I am eating meals, with two or three light meals, either pudding with protein powder, a protein shake, glass of milk with or without no sugar added instant breakfast, depending on my protein needs for the day. I try to keep something every few hours only because I can't get it all in with three meals.

I find I start to get a little peckish mid-to-late morning and mid-afternoon as well, so I'll usually have a yogurt, apple sauce or a Protein bar to fill me up between meals. Definitely a nice pick-me-up!

I'm eating 3 meals/snacks and two protein drinks each day.

Each day I eat 4 meals - 8am, noon, 4pm and 8pm.

  • I always have a Quest bar for breakfast, so the only planning needed for that is to keep the flavors I like in stock, and choose one on my way out the door for work.
  • M-F I eat lunch out, and I usually don't decide which restaurant until I get in the car. No matter where I go, I order dense Protein - usually salmon, steak, hamburger or chicken, once in a while tuna salad - and I order the dinner portion so I'll have plenty to take home. I order whatever side item they have that I like - carrots or coleslaw are favs, or once in a while a baked potato - and I can only eat a few bites of it anyway. The leftovers I eat for weekend lunches, and if the side is a starch I usually throw away most of it..
  • I almost always have a Quest bar for my 4 PM "feeding," so I just make sure I have a good selection of them at work.
  • My 8 PM meal is sometimes a Quest bar, sometimes leftovers from lunches. I don't have to decide until it's time to eat.

You might want to see a thread Alex (BP founder) started very recently - How do you plan your meals.

I have to eat snacks. I am only 5wks out so that may change but I have a hard time getting enough calories in if I don't have a protein shake or something between meals.

I eat a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon. It's usually SF pudding, laughing cow cheese with a couple of whole wheat crackers, or a cheese stick.
