Hi! I'm in Mexico right now waiting to be sleeved tomorrow. I went through Mexico baratric centre with Cindy. Dr ponce is doing my surgery at int hospital. I'm super nervous and have been having doubts all day. Is there anything you recommend me asking about? Just reading your post is making me want to go home!

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and advice. I'm find during the day and know I can do it. I'm not looking at this as a solution but as a tool to help me. Right now I don't take pics with my kids, don't want to meet new people, and won't even go on a vacation. I know this is the right decision. It's just when the night time comes I'm alone with my thoughts and that's never a good thing haha

I'm not in the US. I'm in Canada. It's $22,000 in Canada! It's not even an option to do it here.

Also when signing up I never realized the amount of work this will take. I'm self pay. So no one tells you the ins and out of the thing. They just keep asking for your deposit and a pic of the money order your going to bring. I'm so emotional drained from reading ppls posts. And the thing is I had no idea the things that consisted in maintaining this lifestyle. The Protein you need, the carbs you don't, tracking, counting. I counted and tracked on weight watchers. That didn't work out so well. I didn't know my hair will fall out!!! I have Alopecia As it is!!!! I don't want more to fall out. I guess I don't this as my emergency way out it as I don't really have medical problems. I know going the way I'm going I will have them. Just had to get some thoughts out :s -confused!

I've been posting here a lot lately. I leave on Wednesday to fly to Mexico for my sleeve. Every night I have regrets on even starting this process. My husband and sister are very supportive of me having this surgery. I was booked to have a lap band done yrs ago and backed out. For the last 5 yrs all my hubby has been hearing was I wish I wish I wish I had gone through with it. Now this time is here and I'm wanting someone to tell its ok to back out. I'm so afraid. Of everything. I have two babies at home that I'm afraid I won't get back too. I know the chances are slim. But it still scary because they are what I live for. I'm afraid of life afterwards. Having your stomach cut off is a pretty dramatic thing to do too your body. I Don't want to leave my family for 5 days to go to a different country to have this surgery. I wish I knew if I was doing the right thing. I'm afraid if I don't go ill just disappoint everyone again. Ps. My sister is coming with me.

My pre op consists of two shakes a day and a lean protein with salad for dinner. Different for everyone.

For those who are eating solids, what are some of your favourite high protein snacks? Do any of you eat a high protein trail mix at all?

Yeah this cleaning thing is getting old.

Anything that gets me out of the house today

Started pre op diet today. I'm a stay at home mom so its pretty hard to stay away from food. I'm a huge picker. But I found a solution!!!! House clean! I have done two loads of laundry, cleaned my bathroom and washed down the bathroom walls and the dining room is washed down. And it's not even lunch yet haha. My house will be spotless by my surgery date. Bring it. Pre op diet.

Tell me about it!!! I had a breakdown last night thinking about never eating a full slice of pie that I haven't had in 20 yrs!!! But someone said think about being satisfied with one mouthful instead of a full slice. We base so much socializing around food. I'm looking forward to being the person not looking for pizza at 12am at game night. It's going to be hard but well worth it in the end.

One week until my surgery

The stomach flu has hit my house. Now that my Kids are better its mommys turn. Have been vomiting and have bad nausea since. Can I take gravol??? It's not listen on my instructions. I emailed my dr but its last so probably no answer until tomorrow. I'm dyin here
