  2. Hi all 1/27/14 Physically doing good. Is anyone having issues with depression? I'm bipolar. Have been all my life. I was on meds prior to surgery and doing okay. I'm still on my meds. I feel like the bipolar is still under control but the depression has gotten pretty bad. My shrink retired in May. I got upset with my therapist right before surgery and hadn't gone back. I started to realize the signs. I saw the wls therapist. She wanted me to start going to support groups. Appt with a new shrink to go over my meds, maybe adjust dosage due to weightloss but not until October. Appt with therapist next week. Trying to figu

    HELP- Is this normal?

Every one is different. My surgery was 1/27/14. I wasn't released to work out till 4 wks. My incision at my belly button is the last one to heal. When I sit, my waistband irritates it. I wear a tank top tucked it everyday to help.

    HELP- Is this normal?

Took 6 weeks for me too
  6. How do you change your protein to over 90 on MFP? I only figured out how to reduce my calorie goal
  7. I got a reply from my NUT. Yep she counts them. I'm starting my 7th week and dr. Recommends 400-600 calories. She looked at my fitness pal and told me I shouldn't go all the way to 600 every day. I'm having difficulty figuring out how to meet 70-80 grams of protein with 500 calories (+50 calories of supplements). I'm getting tired of shakes, I like my morning shake (premier vanilla with a cup of frozen fruit) but I can only drink 1/2 so, 108 cal, 15 grams protein. The idea and taste of the 2nd 1/2 for a snack makes me nauseous. I also wish peanut butter wasn't on my "allowed" list. I LOVE peanut butter and my pouch likes it too. I've made my own version Thai peanut chicken with baked chicken breast, Jif reduced fat (not reduced enough) crunchy peanut butter and a little water. Mmm. I haven't tried PB2 yet, I hope I'll like it so I can stop wanting Jif. Sorry for rambling...

    HELP- Is this normal?

My pain like that was constipation. I described it as a knife inside twisting its way out. My PA put me on clear fiber three times a day and three colase before bed. Check with your doctor.
  9. According to my fitness pal, my vitamins are 50 calories. I'm supposed to stay under 600 calories. I only just entered my supplements to calculate the calories. I'm really hoping I don't have to count them. Anybody know? (6 weeks post op)

    Itchy

I was just hoping there was something to put on that'd help the itching. But you all are correct, PA said not to put anything. I am wearing a tank top tucked in because the waist band of my pants were irritating 3 of my incisions. The tank top helps. I'm glad to hear that it'll pass. Thanks

    Itchy

Well darn Thanks for letting me know.
  14. Is anyone finding it hard to meet calorie/protein goals once returning to work? I started back this past Monday. I bring my breakfast shake, snack shake, rf cheese, some type of lean protein (been on a salmon kick) But at the end of the day, I realize I haven't finished my snack protein drink, or drank enough water in between, or finish my lunch (the lean protein). At home, it was easy, followed a schedule. But now, not so much. I drive 35 min to and from, work 7:30am-5:00, but while at work, never routine. I work in an office, take calls as they come, see appts and walk-ins. It's really hard to remember its time for h2o or time to eat, especially if I'm talking to or seeing a client. Anybody else?
