  1. I never got stuck until my 5th fill. Now I get stuck about once a day. Mostly bread! And hamburger. So I am back to eating fish and Soups mostly. Getting stuck is extremely painful. For me it lasts from 5 minutes to 15 minutes. I seem to be tightest when I wake up. Yogurt is my best Breakfast choice. It keeps me in check.
  2. my taste changed too. I used to eat sushi 3 times a week. Can't stand it now. Don't like milk or ice cream either, now. Same for avocados! Strange.
  3. It's not MY blog. I just shared it. I keep seeing myself as a melting candle in the mirror and this inspired me.
  4. http://imperfectlife.net/ilovemyuglybody/ Love it!!!!!!
  5. I was banded 12/16/13. Close to you.
  6. It all sounds familiar. I was gaining and losing te same 4 lbs for 3 months. Then finally this last fill and I vomited and slimed and all the nastiness! I find that if I don't sip a bit when I eat I get stuck. For me seafood is the way to go. Sea bass, scallops, crab etc. hamburger is painful. So is chicken. Lost 7 lbs this last month so i think I am finally on track.
  7. Burping.....just wait for the constant farting! LOL I am 4 months post op, and it doesn't go away. Oh the things they don't tell you before surgery.
  8. It didn't happen to me. It was SOOOO painful. I was screaming! I jumped up and down and took a sip of Water, and it went down. I am assuming my usual diet is slider foods? Not good. I have had 4 fills already.
  9. I haven't slimed yet. What is that exactly?
  10. OK, note to self: DO NOT EAT FRENCH BREAD WITH THICK CRUST! Holy bat man! That was so painful! I hat to jump up and down to get it to pass! Yikes! Now I know what "getting stuck" feels like. I guess I have been eating "slider food" this whole time. Fish, cottage cheese, yogurt, scallops, turkey and chicken go down just fine.
  11. It has to be heated to dissolve.
  12. I'm 45. Surgery was 12/16/13. I lost 20 lbs Pre op. 35 total. I keep gaining and losing the same 5 lbs for the last 2 months. It's killing me! I am now 7.5 cc in a 10 cc band. My next appointment we will see if its leaking. Not thrilled.
  13. Omg! I ate a whole sleeve of those boogers! Good riddance Girl Scout cookies!
  14. I used to do the Isagenix shakes, then I switched to
  15. I'm 4 months post op. My Dr. is very slow with fills. So far, I have been able to eat anything, including bread. I try not to. The only thing I have a hard time with is hamburger. I go in tomorrow for another fill. I am able to chug an entire glass of Water at once with out a problem. I am thinking I am no where near the fill level I should be. My weight loss has been slow. MAYBE 4 lbs a month.
  16. Short, firm karate chops to the back and shoulders get the gas out immediately!
  17. I used to eat 6 lbs at a time. I am stuffed at 2. I so miss the afternoons of eating crawfish all day! But this Is a good thing. The price of crawfish has doubled since last year! Lol. I will survive!
  18. Karate chops to shoulders and back for gas pain. Short and fast and not too hard. Gone instantly.
  19. Karate chops ! Short and fast. Gets the gas out fast.
  20. I can't eat with out drinking. Probably why my weight loss is so slow.
  21. Dang it! I missed the drama again!
  22. Next time just get a kids meal. . (I did that last week, and called it portion control). Tomorrows come every day! Don't beat yourself up over it.
