  1. I haven't even opened the unflavored I bought over 6 weeks ago. I also haven't had any mashed potatoes because I have tried to limit my carbs...
  2. Thanks everyone. The headband picture is when my current husband and I got married in 2006. (I was widowed in 2003) I have 29 lbs to go to wedding weight
  3. I wanted to cry when I saw the first one but I had already had surgery by the time I looked at it.....It made me more determined... Thank you!
  4. Lots to go but I see a big difference. The day before surgery and today
  5. I was lucky. I got approved within three days of submission to insurance and that same day they scheduled me for surgery for 2 weeks later. You might ask to speak to the doctors medical assistant.....
  6. Congratulations. We are going to Avilla Beach next week. Fish Fish Fish to eat
  7. Sometimes when I look at people's stats I have to remember that a lot of folks are required to follow a wt loss plan for 6 months prior to their surgery. That is included inn their wt loss stat.
  8. Thank you SugarFree. That makes perfect sense
  9. I asked my doctor about it two weeks out, he said all his WLS patients have it. I just wondered if it lingers forever!!!
  10. I have been this way since surgery. I still weigh 220
  11. Is anyone else more than two months post op and still cannot get warm? I, who was hot all the time and sweating prior to surgery and now I am so cold. My hands and feet are like ice cubes all the time....
  12. MrsGloMartin, thank you for that wonderful compliment! I just looked at my greek yogurt label, I buy only Dannon Lite &Fit. It has 8 gr sugar. My husband has some other kinds and I looked at them, Activia has 19-22 gr sugar!!! I could not WAIT for my two weeks to be over so I could have some Greek Yogurt again.....but I only buy that brand... Best of luck...
  13. I am sorry you are having this trouble and so thankful that I didn't. If you like Greek Yogurt, it is loaded with protein.......also I love the Premier shakes from Costco of Sams club. They do have them at Walmart but they are more expensive. The chocolate is my favorite. 30 grams of protein per drink...ready to drink
  14. Thank you very much for your reassurance. I just started on levothyroxine, generic of synthroid and hoping my symptoms subside. How long did it take for you to get stable after starting the synthroid? I have shortness of breath...did you have that too? I see a cardiologist May 1st and it can't wait. Oddly enough i got worse right after I made the brave decision to say yes to my surgery. My only regret is that I should have done this years ago when I wanted it and was way healthier. Who knew? Be very careful with the generic...my doctor says she will not sign off on that. I get mine through Express Scripts and once they sent me that anyway. My TSH went way up......as soon as I got back on the Synthroid for a few weeks it went back down. Also do not take Vitamins etc with you thyroid medicine. Wait about two hours. It took me a long time to get the right dosage. I got too much the first time and felt a pounding in my throat like someone was choking me. Once I got the right dosage, I had no more problems.
  15. I have had it since 1991. no problems......I just take Synthroid
  16. I am exercising some, try for 30 minutes= to 6 miles on my Airdyne. But I can't do it everyday. I get lots of protein and drink lots of WATER. I have kept my food plan really simple until I see my doc May 6.
  17. You should ask YOUR Doctor or Nutritionist
  18. You can always freeze them
  19. wow, they are $$$$$$
  20. My doc said to make sure I was getting all my water in.....and it wasn't the decaf coffee as much as what people put IN it.... He himself is a coffee addict so he understood. I am 2 mos and I have 2 cups of decaf on the weekends. I haven't had any caffeine since surgery and not sure I want to.
  21. for real???
  22. Hospitals or surgery centers will NOT release a post op patient without a driver. But you can hire a nurse. I did once. Your surgeon should be able to suggest one.
  23. As I have said before, if we were going to Weight Watchers etc, we only weighed once a week. That's what I do now. 2 mos out and haven't had any "stalls"
  24. I an at 2 mos today and have lost 50 lbs.......and a whole lot of health problems......as well as 25 inches. I am so happy!!
