  1. Follow the doctors plan and you will do just fine
  2. I just wanted to write a myriad of things here. My hair has been falling out now for about 2 weeks. It is more of a nuisance than a concern. Also, I was at Sam's Club yesterday to get Premier Protein drinks and they have gone up to $18.88 for 12!! SIGH.........If I can get a better deal at Costco I may have to get a card for there. The last things is this. Has anyone else had a problem with BO since surgery? It seems I cannot find a deodorant that works and I never had this problem before......
  3. Betcha a dollar you can ... Mine has security settings, too, but hey ... it's electronic ... there's always a workaround. PM me your make and model. You'll have to disconnect the phone, for sure, but also know many, many people are dropping their home phone lines now, so ... Yep, I sure do. After much adoo and many phone calls, I finally got my pulmo to work with the provider until they got mine set on auto, to only give me what I need. It is SO much better. I told her If they don't hurry up and get it done, I will just do it myself since I found a youtube video that shows me how". She replied "You shouldn't mess with your machine". I replied, "That is better than not wearing it at all". The data showed since my wt loss I had only stopped breathing three times an hour and the mask loss was 47% per night. I find since I have started using it again, I don't wake up with a headache and do feel less sleepy during the day.
  4. I got this sometime back, they are good but very high in fat, for my plan
  5. On myfatsecret......how do I manually add food? For example I only ate 1/4 c 1% cottage cheese and it didn't have that portion selection
  6. I have a machine with a modem and I cannot change the settings
  7. When I saw my doctor for my 2 mos checkup, I told him I was eating his suggested 400-500 calories a day. He said "great". He also told me I would lose more wt if I kept up with the 2 shakes a day and I am happy to do that. He suggested 600 cal a day for the phase I am in....(almost 3 months) so that is what I do
  8. Did they do an endoscopy and stomach scope on you prior to surgery? If not, you may have a hernia... please do talk with your doctor about this
  9. I don't understand why this is here
  10. Thank you. I just d/l my fat secret. That is one I can figure out!!
  11. I have not had caffeine since Feb 24 but I do have 2 c decaf coffee on weekends. I don't think I want to put caffeine back in my body
  12. It didn't work for me through them
  13. What program do you use to track your food? MYFITNESSPAL says I should have close to 1500 calories a day and 49 gr carbs. I don't think so...
  14. You will LOVE the Premier shakes
  15. That's the way ours was....I took some Premier Protein bars for emergency...
  16. I do that too
  17. I went to my pulmonologist April 28 and she was going to order a "smart setting" from Apria which is great as it enables a new pressure number without a new study. It hasn't happened yet. I am going to call her office tomorrow and raise heck. I have been sleeping w/o it for a few nights, NO snoring and I feel great but I will pursue her opinion
  18. My favorite!! Sams Club prices are about $16.00 for a pack of 12. In June they will start carrying the Strawberry Cream.
  19. We were on the beach for a week and this is the first time I have ever lost weight on vacation. I stayed on plan good. I tried to eat a Prawn Cocktail one night but they were so big, I was stuffed after eating only 3 prawn! Some days, especially travel days, it was hard to get all my Water in so I started retaining Fluid. My body decided to release the fluid on my trip home yesterday!! LOL We had a full kitchen there so I cooked for my husband and I had shakes. My only down fall I think was the wonderful fresh fruit.....I probably ate too much. But I did good and had fun
  20. I have had good luck with it in the past. In 2003 my husband was killed and my hair started falling out bad from stress. I started using Nioxin and it stopped. I used it before and after surgery and my hair is starting to fall out, hitting almost 3 months post op. I will keep using it because it helps to encourage regrowth
  21. I had to attend all the classes prior to surgery. Then I saw my surgeon at 2 weeks, the 2 mos, blood work will be at 3 mos, and I will see him at 4 mos and 6 mos. He set goals for me for the first year. Only blood work for the first year. I don't know after that. He knows I live 2 hrs from the support group and that I attend it here. LOL
  22. For sure, every doctor is different.................I see it on here more and more
  23. I saw my surgeon today for the first time since my 2 week checkup. He was absolutely thrilled with my progress and the fact that I surpassed his first goal for me!! He said he recommends that his patients stay on the 2 Protein drinks a day as I would lose more weight that way. I told him I did not mind at all. I will get labs done at 3 mos and see him afterwards....Keeping my eye on the prize!!! Edited to say, We are leaving tomorrow morning for vacation. I guess it is time to pack!!!
  24. Hard to say as everyone is different and has their own way of doing things
  25. This has been addressed MANY times. If you do a forum search on Vitamins, you will find a host of information
