Planking
I do three sets of excercises including three sets of 1 min planks (as shown in the previously posted picture) and three sets of side planks for 30 sec. Each. My trainer says when I work up to 90 sec on the regular planks, he is going to give me something new.

Eating out card ?
I usually share with my husband, but used the card once for a buffet breakfast (when I only wanted one egg). It saved me about $7.

What to expect on First Visit?
My first visit was very short. They asked which surgery I wanted, explained how the surgery was done and what results I should expect, gave me a folder with info, and gave me the phone numbers for my psych and NUT.

In need of help
My favorite is muscle milk light. I get it by the case from Costco, but you can get it at Walmart. I also like the chocolate premier protein shakes, but they get thicker over storage time.

Feeling cold?
I've always felt cold - but I'm even colder since the surgery.

How do you feel after you workout?
It varies for me and seems to depend on how much sleep I've gotten the night before (which is tough, because there seems to be a tradeoff in my life between sleep and exercise!).

Is Change Really Possible?
Even before the surgery, were you the same person as a few years ago? I doubt it - we are always changing - this is just a more obvious and deliberate change. Of course change is possible - it happens all the time!

Worried that i am not on track.
Did you ask your doctor what his expectations were for your weight loss? In any case, it sounds like you have control over your eating and it's working for you.

Nervous before Surgery Normal?
It is totally normal - I worked myself into a full panic as I went into the hospital - and it all worked out great for me (I'm at six months). I couldn't be happier that I had this surgery and wish I had done it years ago. Of course, I wouldn't have said that one - two weeks after the surgery - but am loving the sleeved life now!

24 Hour Fitness
I joined LifeTime fitness a few years ago and have gotten a lot out of it. If the budget can stretch, it helps to work out with a personal trainer for a few sessions.

Thrush anyone?
I had an awful yeast infection on my skin folds, particularly under my breasts, a few days after surgery. Is the thrush in your mouth (my baby had that years ago). They had me put gentian violet in her mouth. For me, they had me use athlete's food powder and it cleared it up in a few days. Good luck!

What Is (or Was) Holding You Back from Weight Loss Surgery?
I decided to add to my response after reading the other responses. A primary reason (which I had forgotten) was that I had to come around to giving up food as comfort, entertainment, stress relief, and a means to connect with other people. Worse yet, I had to give up diet coke. As the surgery grew close, I felt like I was an addict going into Rehab, but was more and more ready to do that. Food doesn't have the hold on me it once did and my life is so much better for it. I couldn't possibly have pictured it at the beginning - so I'm not sure I could reach out to anyone else to let them know it will be ok - but it will be!

What Is (or Was) Holding You Back from Weight Loss Surgery?
I chose: You are not sure which type of weight loss surgery is best for you. You are afraid of complications or side effects from weight loss surgery. Other - thought my BMI wasn't high enough at 37 It was primarily fear of complications, though.

What are slider foods?

What do you miss most after Weight Loss Surgery?
