  1. You look soooooo pretty you were already pretty but you could see your confidence more now. Great job!! I'm just 5 weeks post op and I can't wait into I have before and after pics.
  2. I will be 5 weeks out tomorrow also single incision. Next to my belly button I've been feeling discomfort more like a really sore muscle for the past 3 day. I called the doctors office today but they were closed due to the weather =\
  3. I usually have a protein shake in the morning before I go to work then another one later in the day each is 30grams so in the shakes alone I'm getting 60grams in protein. I'm getting tired of them I force myself to drink them. Up to know everything I have had to eat so far has settled right with my stomach. I'll be five weeks out on Sat I've noticed a good amount of weight lost. I could see my collar bone =). Thank you all for your responses and suggestions. I just felt overwhelm today I think because I've been really focus then I get this email from my nutritionist so I just felt a little confused with soft solids because of what my nutritionist told me and what my doctors list says there totally different and what to eat. I just don't want to "ruin" this or fail. Thanks for listening guys and all the comments.
  4. I'm a month out and so far everything I eat I have been able to tolerate. I've got to the point where I'm sick and tired of protein drinks. Yesterday and today Ive been having a pain that comes and goes next to my belly button I think it's from gagging because of the protein drinks. I've tried different ones and they all make me gag. So yes I've been eating Greek yogurt with fruit (that comes with it) cheese, tilapia, mashed potatoes, protein bars, and sliced turkey. I emailed my nutritionist asking when I can eat edamame's and drink milk she told me to worry about protein and veggies will come in when I'm on solids. On my doctors plan I'm on soft solids and it says to slowly add things I've had over steamed broccoli that was fine. I'm just confused over soft solids and solids. Sorry I think I'm just having one of those days. I had not felt like this all I just feel a little down. Don't get me wrong I'm glad I had the surgery I've been losing weight. I'm scared to eat different things. I'm feeling lost today lol. Sorry for the rant.
  5. Awesome!!! I will be making some for dinner tomorrow. Don't worry about the tmi good to know lol.
  6. Anyone have had quinoa? I've read that it's very high in protein and in fiber. I'm a month out I'm on soft solids and would like to make some . I'm not sure if this would be ok though. Quinoa is new to me. I found a lot of recipes that look pretty good. Does anyone have any experience with it? Please share =)
  7. Mine was yesterday. To red lobster as well I ordered tilapia with broccoli. I asked the waister to "over steam" the broccoli since I'm on soft solids but still scared. It was all delicious. First time in red lobster I had a to go box haha.
  8. I LOVE edamame I have some in my freezer. I'm 4 weeks out but not sure if there ok to have yet. I don't really see people talk about them.
  9. I say wait. I want a side piece but I'm waiting into I hit goal 80lb more ha.
  10. I'm from Houston Tx still live here so I know how salsa is a "must" for most foods. I haven't had any yet though.
  11. I'm on puréed right now I hardly eat because I'm scared. I start soft solids on Saturday and I'm scared too lol. I've had Greek yogurt egg cottage cheese baybel cheese and up to now everything has settled with my stomach just fine but I'm scared to try "normal" food when I get to soft solids Sat.
  12. This is so funny something similar happened to me!! When I was pre op I had to meet with a shrink (due to insurance requirements) while I'm waiting a couple walks in I get called in. I'm the shrink no more then 10min I come out the couples wife gets called in. I'm waiting for the receptionist the husband waiting for his wife tells me "your making another appointment" I said "no I just want to give him the questioner " he has the guts to tell me "oh wow one visit and your fixed already" so I told him why I was there and crazy man tells me "god your so pretty already I could only imagine how your going to look after I wish I could see you after when your skinny man I see you already looking skinny and more beautiful" right then the receptionist walks I I gave my papers I smiled and left.
  13. I start soft foods Sat I wonder if this would be ok. It sounds delicious.
  14. Good luck. Rest and rest the first day I slept just about the whole day the nurse woke me up to talk walk a little and drink some water I so had a few taste of a sf free popsicle and fell back asleep. Once they allow you to drink sip every 15min that you are awake specially since your at home and won't have any IV to keep you hydrated you need to drink so you won't get dehydrated and try to walk for 5min every hour that you are awake. That's what they had me do at the hospital. Your post op sounds about right I was on liquids for two after. Good luck!!!
  15. Yes Sobe is good never thought about that. I used to drink it pre op.
  16. . That's what my mom told me "she sounds like nut" haha. Thank you.
  17. My doctors list did say poweraid zero but my nutritionist said no just stick to water. I'm just going to go get some poweraid zero for now that's easier to find. Thanks!!
  18. Ok so my NUT is on vacation and the one that is available is extremely strict she believes that we should not drink anything but herbal tea and water not even crystal light nothing. I've got to the point where I'm getting nauseas with plain water specially in the morning. I don't want to get dehydrated. So my question has anyone had regular Gatorade? And been ok? On my doctors list which is different then the stricter nuts list says I could have G2 but I can't find it anywhere only the regular one. I just need something other then plain water.
  19. I'm 3 weeks out and I yet have not. Did you call your doctor?
  20. I love pozole!!! How soon were you able to have it?
  21. I go back Monday it will be a month then. I'm a teller at a bank and I'm always back and forth and lifting coin boxes. I'm taking a additional two weeks of no lifting.
  22. I'm also 30 and I have 100 to lose I've always been a big girl so I'm worried about akin. Do you dry brush every day? I'm going to buy some cocoa butter tomorrow and a brush lol. I'm 3wks post op so I want to start with a skin regiment ASAP. I did not see your pic on here though.
  23. I'm around 200-470 3 weeks today. Depending how I'm feeling I'll be able to snack and that makes my calories higher.
  24. My doctor told me 2 weeks after I shouldn't worry. I've read different on here. I'm 3 weeks out still worry a little about a leak.
