nick . i have uhc also . my dr. office said they go by the bmi they submitt for the approval as the nurse said because they encourage weight lose before the surgery. my app. is may 2 (1st 0 app. i am just at bmi of 36 losing also so i am afraid i wont amke it either. i have sleep apena. high blood pressure .4 back surgeries so hopefully that will do it for me. did you have to have a documented diet plan for the insurance? sandie

angiebell i sent you a instant mess/ you are thin already at 187 . was that a misprint? that would make your bmi around 30 , or am i figuring it wrong? i am scared also but i have found this site to be so helpful. i check it everyday to see how people are doing sandie

sarcar: what insurance carrier do you have? i have cigna they reqire the same thing. so i went to the dr 2 wks ago to start it being documented. then i got a letter from my cpmp. saying may 1 we will switch to united health care i heard they dont require it but i am going to keep going once a mo. to get weighed & have it documented just in case. good luck sandie
