  1. Alex Brecher started following A lot less
  2. I totally agree w/you about everything. I like Danny, but I want Rudy to win. I saw the youth minister when Danny came home and I thought they would have even acknowledged him, but they didn't. Was it my eyes but didn't Tara look a lil thick again?
  3. I don't like Liz either. I think that Rudy was full of BS and didn't have the balls to tell Becca that he wanted her gone because she was going to kick his butt. Liz is older and she can't play the game like Becca. I think that Rudy is doing very good losing his weight and he just might be getting a lil cocky about it. I like Allen, but I couldn't understand what he was talking about "playing the game" when he lost that challenge with the ropes, I would have thought he'd had that beat since he's a firefighter. Liz made me sick with all her whinning (secretly, I probably would have been whinning too:biggrin:).
  4. also try fish, it has a lot of protein, too. They say we should eat fish at least 3 x's a week anyway. I put some protein powder (whey vanilla) in my coffee (just a little) and use the rest in greek yogurt or my oatmeal when I eat it during the day.
  5. I am having acid reflux at night and I just got a call from my dr's nurse about if I was too tight (I can eat solids so I'm not too tight) because of the acid reflux, she said for me to take pepsid (sp). I asked if maybe if the band was slipped she said if it had I would not be able to keep down anything even Water. I agree about calling the dr cause it might be you are too tight and you might need a unfill. Hope all goes well with you.
  6. Just heard from the dr and his nurse said that if I'm able to eat solid food that it's probably from the spicy and tomato sauce. I've been eating much too late at night anyway, so when I stopped at 6 pm I slept better. I told her that my throat was still burning a little (from the acid) and she said that he said to get pepsid (sp) and go from there. I asked was that unusual and she said no, if I had a slipped band I would not be able to keep anything down even water.
  7. I am glad I found this because I have been having this issue for about 2 weeks. I am now stressing. I didn't eat anything pass 6:00 pm and I slept fine last night. I had soup Friday and then that night ate some mexican food and was miserable. I ate meat loaf that saturday and was miserable cause I thought that it was the tomatos. I still have a slight burning in my throat, but I can still eat. I didn't think I was tight cause before I could eat very good. I have a fill 9/21. I did call my dr and they are suppose to call me back. I am so afraid until I can't think straight.
  8. Where you been and how are you doing? Miss you in the Share what you eat post. Take care.
  9. I agree. I was happy when they voted her off, but I've got to give it to her, the gurl:w00t: looks good. Who knows if she continues she might have a good chance winning.
  10. *****walking in like Hedi Klum (Project Runway) and saying "hullo"*******
  11. I agree. Liz gets on my nerves, then maybe she and Tracey have become "best-est" friends. Me, too
  12. Good morning, It's "Finally Friday". Tweety, don't worry about the spelling, Glad that you are here. Last time I saw a "8" was when I drop below size 18, turned 9 yrs. old and was in the 8th grade. LOL Was 57 here this morning and probably hit 61 for the day. GRRRRRR...... I use to watch Grey, but I don't anymore. I love, love, Bones and The Closer. I'm hooked also on the Housewives shows. Hope everyone has a blessed day and weekend. Gotto go students are looking at me crazy cause I'm not listening to them. LOL
  13. Is this recipe you were talking about Georiga Girl? Thank Goodness It's Faux-Fried!Been craving those CRAZY fried green Beans from T.G.I. Friday's? WAIT. Before you order, check out our HG-ized version... Ingredients: For Dip 3 tbsp. fat-free mayonnaise 2 tbsp. peeled and chopped cucumber 1 tbsp. fat-free sour cream 1 1/2 tsp. dry ranch dressing/dip mix 1/4 tsp. wasabi paste dash cayenne pepper For Green Beans 2 cups (8 oz.) fresh green beans, trimmed 3/4 cup Fiber One bran cereal (original), ground to a breadcrumb-like consistency in a blender or food processor 1/4 cup fat-free liquid egg substitute (like Egg Beaters Original) 1/2 tsp. onion powder 1/2 tsp. garlic powder 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. black pepper Optional: additional seasonings, to taste Directions: Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Combine dip ingredients in a food processor or small blender (our Magic Bullet works wonders!). Blend until smooth. Place dip in a dish, and then cover and chill in the fridge. Place the green beans in a large pot with 4 cups of Water. Bring to a boil. Once boiling, cook for 9 minutes. Carefully drain the beans, and then place them in cold water for a few minutes to stop the cooking process. Drain and dry them well. Put the egg substitute in a small bowl, and set aside. In a separate bowl, combine the Fiber One "breadcrumbs" with the spices (add extra seasonings, if you like). Cover a large baking pan with aluminum foil and/or nonstick spray. Set aside. Place about 1/3rd of the crumb mixture into a large sealable plastic bag. One by one, dip green beans into the egg substitute, and place them in the bag with the breadcrumbs -- continue this with 1/3rd of the beans. Seal the bag and shake it up. Remove the "breaded" green beans, and place them on the pan. Repeat this process two more times, so all of the beans are coated. Pop the pan in the oven and cook for 16 minutes, flipping green beans halfway through cooking. Beans are done once they're crispy. Allow green beans to cool slightly, and then serve with the dip. Yum! MAKES 2 SERVINGS Serving Size: 1/2 of recipe (dip included) Calories: 129 Fat: 1.5g Sodium: 881mg Carbs: 32.5g Fiber: 14g Sugars: 5g Protein: 7g
  14. thought this would be goodHG's Fiber-ific Fried cheese Sticks Mozzarella FixBefore creating these cheesy faux fried hunks of heaven, we had totally given up on the whole mozzarella sticks thing. Total bar food... completely greasy and horrible for you. Not anymore, thanks to (you guessed it!) a box of Fiber One and our trusty blender. Check out this super swap and prepare to be wowed (and filled with cheese!)... Ingredients: 2 light mozzarella sticks (50-60 calories and 2.5g fat per stick) 1/4 cup Fiber One bran Cereal (original) 2 tbsp. fat-free liquid egg substitute salt, pepper & Italian seasonings; to taste Optional: low-fat marinara sauce (for dipping) Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a food processor or blender, grind Fiber One to a breadcrumb-like consistency. Place crumbs in a small plastic container with a lid. Season crumbs with as much salt, pepper and Italian seasonings as you like. Set aside. Cut cheese sticks in half, so that you have 4 sticks. Place sticks in a small bowl, and pour egg substitute over the top of the sticks. Swirl egg substitute around so that it thoroughly coats the sticks. One by one, transfer sticks to the container with the crumbs. Cover container, and give it a shake to coat the sticks in the crumbs. Carefully return sticks to the dish with the egg substitute, and coat them again. Next put sticks back in the crumbs container, cover, and shake once more to coat (try doing this two at a time the second time around). Place sticks on a baking dish sprayed lightly with nonstick spray. Spritz the tops of the sticks with a quick mist of the spray. Place dish in the oven, and bake for 10 minutes (or until the first sign of cheese oozing out). If desired, serve with warm marinara sauce. Best when eaten immediately, while cheese is hot and gooey! 15. Good morning everyone. Thanks for the warm welcome....It's a Terrific Thursday (actually it's raining and chilly). Kat....I feel ya! I hate for people to ignore me without cause, at least if I knew WHY they didn't like me then I can justify that. But you know what? It's about them and their "small mindness" cause Karma always comes back. I have a scale, but it never shows me what I want to see, :wink2:so I try not to weigh. I usually go by my clothes and then I weigh when I go to the LB doctor for a fill. I was getting my "small" clothes from my daughter (she has gained), but now she has larger sizes. I think I might be in a 14 or 12 depends on where I buy them. Walmart or Cato has been my store lately until I can lose these last 17 lbs. I do know that my 16 misses are too big. Hope you are feeling better, Suziecat.
  16. Hello everyone, I'd like to join here. My name is Gloria, married 9 yrs, 3 grown children, 2 stepchildren (grown), 4 grands and 5 step grands. I have been on this journey since August '07. It has truly been a struggle, but I'm grateful for the lost. I'm hoping to lose these last 17 pounds by Dec (that's my next fill visit). I know I'm my worst enemy with my tool and believe me DH is no help. It's just like last night on the "Biggest Loser" when the black team went home and the spouses and parents were ALL amazed at their weight loss and BAM they go out and eat and order (not the contestants, the families) like there's no tomorrow. I know that we need to be able to be around people that can still eat the unhealthy food, but uh, can I get you help ME!!!!!:crying: and not do it. Mine you, DH needs to eat a bit healthy himself. Anywho, I love my band tool.
