  1. I hsve had a complete unfill and am losing my band. I have been using an all natural product that really keeps me from eating. I don't want to gain the weight back and this product takes away the cravings for me...and it is all natural, so no jittery feeling. I don't want to go on another diet. I like eating a little bit of what I want. Honestly, had I known about this product I would have saved myself the pain and heartache of surgery. I didn't cause my problem. There are several of us from 11/08 having the same problems. If you want to know more about this product, pm me at carolyn.wilson@insightbb.com. Good luck....
  2. Not yet...my current dr. did not do the surgery. He is very good though and I am hoping she was wrong. I won't see him for a month. I don't think this is a common problem and completely unexpected for me. Since the port is anchored in the muscle with the realize band, it seems unlikely that it flipped. I am sure they will have to do an upper GI to find out for sure. For now, it is just really, really sore from the fill....or maybe because it really is flipped!
  3. Thanks, kirafiki, I am really excited. AT 59, it has taken awhile. This was my hardest and sorest fill yet, Maybe I won't need another. I am at 6.4 in a 10cc realize band. Thanks again and good luck with your weightloss
  4. I went in for a fill and after the first stick, the NP said my port had flipped or twisted but she got it back in place enough to do a fill. I do have more restriction so it worked but I am really worried about the port being flipped or twisted. Anyone else have this? What did you do about it? Did you see the surgeon to discuss? The NP just gave me a fill and said she would see me in a month. Should I be worried? I am 15 months out and today broke the under 200 pound mark. 25.5 pounds to go!
  5. Thanks. I'm gonna google that and see where I can get it. I had to have a 1.5 cc unfill yesterday, so I am on liquids right now, but I will need the additional protein soon.
  6. Ok, I saw the dr. yesterday and they did a small unfill, 1.5 ccs and I felt better immediately. I got to sleep in my bed last night and no throwing up. I am on liquids today so all is good. I see the dr. again in two weeks to try for a small adjustment....hopefully I can get thru the holidays without too much damage. I guess I will see tomorrow when I go back to food. Wish me luck!
  7. Thank you, thank you, thank you, LilMissDiva, for understanding and agreeing with me. My family is worried about me and my DH wants me to have half taken out. My twin five year old granddaughters expect me to throw up every time I eat. I don't want them to develop bad food habits from seeing me. Yesterday, I had to throw up in a parking lot. It is disgusting. I want my life back. I didn't sign up for soft foods or liquids only, either. And, I have to sleep sitting up to prevent reflux. I have an appt. tomorrow at 2:00 to have an unfill. I don't know how much. I have lost 56 pounds, all of them hard. I have changed surgeons, but whenever I get to 6.5, I need an unfill. It is very hard not to just give up. Also, I still have a lot of abdominal fat. I seem to have lost everywhere but there. Well, I have lost there because I have gone down in clothes size, but not as much as everywhere else. Sorry, for the gripe session.....just trying to figure out how much of an unfill to get tomorrow....3 ccs, like my DH wants, or only .5 cc. I have lost 5.5 pounds in 10 days!
  8. My previous doctor took me from 6.5 to 4.3 then it took months to get back to 6.5. I was okay at 5.5, but maintaining. Maybe 6 will be the sweet spot. I am just tired after almost a year and want to be able to not think about what I can and cannot eat all of the time. I want to forget about food for awhile. Is that just a dream? I want to be normal.
  9. I am having the same problem. Continuous spitting....can't really keep much solid food down. At night, I can't sleep flat and I have reflux during the night. I am only at 6.5 in a 10 cc band. I have good weightloss with this fill, but it isn't worth it. I am ready for a complete unfill. Should I do it? Complete unfill or slight unfill? Everytime I get to 6.5, I need an unfill. Lower than 6.5, and I stop losing. I have 27 pounds more to lose, but the spitting, throwing up, sliming isn't worth it. My five year old granddaughter told me she is worried about me and I need to go to the doctor, after I uncontrollably threw up in my car in front of her. What should I do?
  10. SIL and everyone, thanks for the great ideas. I use Unjury protein and I put it in my coffee once and it was like lumps of jello in it. What protein powder you use for your oatmeal and coffee? Thanks, everyone, for your help.
  11. Thanks for the suggestions. Asparagus, no, but I had forgotten about what a good choice tuna is. Thanks again.
  12. Hi! I finally have restriction, after almost a year, and I love not even wanting to eat, but I need to get my protein in. I hate the protein shakes, but hoped someone could help me with ideas of small portions with a lot of protein. any suggestions would be a big help to me....thanks!
  13. I switched doctors yesterday and I am so glad I did. He was very nice and did not belittle me. I felt good when I left and found out that although my previous dr. said I had 6.5 cc in my realize band, I only had 4.3 ccs. No wonder it has been so hard. I reportedly received 4 ccs in January. And, my previous dr. would not check to see what was in there. Now I know it doesn't have to be as hard as it was. I have lost 49 pounds in 10 months and am feeling restriction today. Just hang in there and if your doctor doesn't treat you right, find another one. It is a difficult decision to make and takes some research, but you will be happy you did it. The new dr. only wants me to lose 30 more pounds, while the old one set a goal for me I would never reach. Keep on working on it and it will happen. I think I am telling myself that as much as you all.
  14. Where can I view the spreadsheet? I am now nine months out, like all of you, and I wonder how everyone is doing and how far behind I am. I had surgery on 11/21 and have lost 39 lbs since surgery, 49 since starting the process. My surgeon is very unhappy with this and I just want to know how others are doing...especially the 50+ older crowd. I seem to be in a maintenance pattern most of the time. Just want to see where I stand. Thanks.
  15. A great idea....easy and no clean up...I like that! I can use the idea for chicken and frozen vegetables. Thanks for the help!
