  1. Lil Miss, I think positive thinking worked for me. I just really did not believe I was going to be in a lot of pain...and I wasnt. I do have a fairly high tolerance for pain. But I thought for sure surgery wouldnt be this easy. But it was. Think positive and if you have anxiety as it gets closer have your doctor give you something.
  2. I drink my protein in the morning. Then I eat my soft foods. If I cant eat much thru the day I will have a shake before bed too. that way I know I have 28 grams in the morning (over a 3 hour period) and 28 grams at night. I drink mine at work and it takes me a while to drink it.
  3. LilMiss- I am feeling great. I was lucky not to have any gas pains and almost no other pain. The eatting is weird for me. I forgot I was not suposed to eat solids in the grocery store, I grabbed a slice of apple they were handing out and just poped it in my mouth and didnt think about it till I swallowed half of it. I freaked out and called my dr. he laughed at me and told me that I have to think now before putting things in my mouth. lol. We are going to do an x-ray when I see him for my follow up. he didnt seem too concerned but he did tell me not to do it again. at least till I can have that type of food.
  4. What I am planning is to tell my friends (the encouraging ones) to find some gifts like this and give them the gift cards I got from christmas to go buy them and wrap them up. So I dont know what I am unwrapping. I am just looking for good ideas. I do like the slippers idea. I dont have anyone arround me that I am close with to do this with.
  5. I try to get 60 to 90 a day. I keep track at fitday.com it helps me keep track of what I am really injesting.
  6. lol well it is good to know your not stopped up. lol we all get a tad personal here.
  7. These are great ideas.
  8. Yeah! I am so happy for you. Just dont go crazy before thinking your never going to be able to eat something. You can. Just not for a little while. And not as much! Congrats!!!!
  9. Thanks guys Those are great ideas! I just have a hard time comming up with rewards that are NOT food. I love the beauty school thing.
  10. So how are you feeling today?
  11. I posted this in my monthly group, but I want your help too please. I am trying to figure out how to reward myself for goals met. The only goals I could think of were: every 25lbs lost every 2 weeks I make it to the gym 5 times a week For making these goals I am trying to find some good, not too expensive rewards that I can unwrap or open for myself. (I am getting a basket together and my friends and I are going to buy a bunch of rewards and wrap them up with pretty bows.) So far I have earrings, necklases, mani/pedi, movie passes, but I would love more ideas. Please help me out. If you can think of other things I can reward myself for. not too hard but not easy to attain.
  12. My dr said he has his patients sit up while he does the fill. I think he said you drink water slowly while he does the fill so you can guage when it is tight, or too tight. He said he is pretty agressive with his fills so his patients get to the sweet spot quicker. He also said sitting up is a more natural way because fluids flow better when your sitting up and you can get a better reaction. I dont know that is what he said . I cant wait till I get one.
  13. My dr said to not pay attention to the gains and losses yet. make sure you are getting enough protein to heal your body. When you get your fills then you should be concerend about losing.
  14. You can try it. It is just eggs and cheese right? no meat? no potatoes? I am in the soft food stage already. Well tomorrow. I am going for chili. ummmm I have been waiting for chili. a little nervious about the chunks. but I am just going to take it slow.
  15. I had the whole worried about dying in surgery too. I was getting panic attacks. My GP gave me Xanex. Let me tel you if you tell your dr they may be able to give you something to releive the panic. but the stress of it you just have to work thru. it is natural. This is a big thing. This was my first surgery too so I didnt know what to expect. but for me it was a brease I dont even have gas pains. Meditation works too.
  16. Welcome to the group! Personaly I am not ready to post any pictures.Give me a few months. I want to be able to tell the difference. I will get depressed if I have pictures and cant see any difference.
  17. OK now I am a little nervious. I also have the 10 and I sure hope my dr is agressive about fills. I dont want to gain again. I am going to the gym tonight. Hopping that will help me with the cravings.
  18. If you need the acountability why dont you try Weight watchers or something like that? Or make a friend weigh you once a month.
  19. No today I have my "allowed" food. I did call my dr and told him what I ate yesterday he asked me some questions about the peanut butter and said I am ok. And that I can slowly move to the next stage...the one that peanut butter and nuts and meat is allowed he just told me to go slow and wait between bites. If I have any pain or if anything feels like it isnt going down to not have that again for a few days. He also told me to stop feeling guilty for having a bit of chocolate. he said "you didnt eat as much as you would of with out the band right?" and that I am still doing normaly.
  20. LOL I forgot the patch behind my ear for like 4 days. lol I had to write myself a note to remember to take it off when I got home
  21. I am staying on the plan because EVERYONE is watching.
  22. Wow congrats. I bought a scale last night. I am hoping it will keep me focused on the goal.
  23. Ooh great ideas. I love pedicures. Maybe a trip to the movie theater.
