Look at it this way girl... Your new sexy body is on it's way OUT! My exhusband married our home wrecking "friend" the day of my surgery. 14 months later, she is as big as a house!!! She just delivered a baby boy. I have lost 129lbs +165 of a sorry ass man. He texted me telling me how good I was looking. NO food FEELS AS GOOD AS KNOWING HE REGRETS THE DAY HE LEFT. Stick to your plan and he will be the one eating twinkles and crying before long.

With the high Protein shakes and supplements out there you can get all your Protein in with very little calories which isn't healthy. Your body needs a certain amount of calories. What you listed you ate in a day isn't many calories at all and seems like it wouldn't add up to enough protein either. I would keep track of your calories and protein for a few days and let your Dr and NUT how much of each you're taking in and see what they suggest.

My doctor told me not to count calories but to count Protein and as long as I'm getting between 60-80 grams of protein a day then that's fine. Obviously avoid foods high in carbs and sugars but that's pretty much it. Every surgeon team/nut is different so if you are concern contact your nutritionist, they are paid to help you and answer all your questions so make them work!!! lol... But in the meantime, count your protein!!!!

Just checking in! Surgery was 3/26 (2 months tomorrow) and I am down 30 pounds since surgery. It seems so slow and I am really struggling with not feeling disappointment. However, I try to look at the overall picture. I have lost a total of 70 pounds since beginning my journey. I am down 4 pant sizes. I can actually walk 3 miles without feeling like I am going to die. I am officially off of my blood pressure medicine. I am signed up to do a 5k next month. I am on the road to a healthy life - I am just trying to remember that it is a marathon, not a sprint!

Just did my 8 month post op comparison pics & seeing the drastic change has given me the encouragement I need to push through & lose the last 12.6 pounds. It seems like the closer I get to goal the harder it is!
    Anyhow here are my numbers...
    Starting weight - 8/5/13- 278.4
    Surgery weight - 8/12/13- 270.6
    Weight @ 8 mos- 8/12/14- 157.6
120.6 pounds lost & 90.55% of excess weight lost.
Hopefully this can encourage someone who is struggling! :-)

    Highest weight: 245 lbs
    Surgery weight: 240 lbs
    Goal weight: 140 lbs
    Current weight: 129 lbs
Revised goal (from surgeon): 115 lbs by May next year
    Height: 4' 11"
    Age: 26
At 11 months post op, I've adapted well to my new "normal" life. I LOVE to workout: running, weights, yoga, workout classes. I've completely given up rice, bread, potatoes, and Pasta. I don't eat fried foods or candy. Basically, I eat real food- Protein, veggies, fruit, nuts, yogurt, cheese. I never feel deprived or left out- it's all about the mindset.
And I'm starting to love shopping instead of crying and dreading.
    Here are my pics
I also added other photos & photos of food I eat (hopefully this helps someone) in my 11 month pic gallery.

I'd say, listen to your body. If you're sore, slow down, if no troubles, keep at it! Nobody knows better than you!! I'm impressed though!

Am I doing to much? I am 17 days post op. When I went for my 2 mile walk I decided to jog some if it. I jogged a quarter of a mile and walked the rest. Everyone seems to think I'm pushing myself to hard. Is it true and I'm just being hard headed?

No disrespect but dude sounds like a tool! His comments are very demeaning. Kick his ass to the curb. You need a partner who lifts you up not breaks you down... he isn't supportive... he sounds very insecure and when you 'lose the weight' it will get worse. My two cents for what it's worth. P.S You ARE the shit. Don't let any man convince you otherwise.

I am getting sleeved by Dr. Cabrera on the 17th too! Very excited and worried but mostly excited.
My BMI is "only" 33. My biggest fear is that I will get there and have a BMI of 29.99 and they will send me home!
My coordinator is CIndy and has been a blessing!
It will be a life-changing Happy St. Patrick's Day for me - and not because of the green beer!

What bothers me most about these types of scenarios are the "other women" involved. What are they thinking? Are they so desperate that they would destroy someone's marriage? Do they really think a man who would leave his wife and children is worth having? Would a woman who would seduce a married man be worth anything?
I know we can't control the acts of other people, but as women we need to keep our female friends and family in check. The fantasy is never worth destroying the sanctity of marriage.
