Should I cut my hair? (see pics)
Omgosh that will look soooo cute on you. Thanks for posting it. I've actually had my hair like that before, the thing with mine is it is just so damn straight and flat it can drive me crazy. Personally, I prefer on me just a bit longer than that or a bit shorter.. altho, I have never had a hair cut like that with a "thin face" so you just never know down the road. I think that one is awesome for you tho!!!

Should I cut my hair? (see pics)
Thanks! I quite liked it too, not sure if it would look quite as good with such dark hair that I have, and not sure if I want to do any highlights or anything (have to see), if I did with my really dark hair what colour of highlights should I do? I love love love your hair in the pic in your avatar though, I think you look fantastic!

Should I cut my hair? (see pics)
Haha, my fiance is the same. He likes long hair but ultimately says it's my decision and I'm sure he'd not love me or be attracted to me any less if I did. I think when we met though I was in the "awkward" growing out stage.

Should I cut my hair? (see pics)
I tried the layers thing (the longer hair now just after that long hair pic) and had a TERRIBLE hair stylist so I'd have to see whats salvageable with it now for layers. She did a BAAAD job, oh man I was cheesed. Hmm true, that's an idea. If memory serves me correctly the last picture is grow out of the middle picture. I found this pic online which is kinda cute too...

Should I cut my hair? (see pics)
Help! Today I am having a BAAAAD "I want to cut my hair" day. I used to have short hair for yeeeaaarrss. And over the past year and a bit have been growing it out. I would say it is now officially medium length (longer than the "longer hair" example pic I will post. Since I've had short hair for a long time I thought I would try it longer. I am not one that spends a long time in the morning getting ready, doing hair, etc. and my hair is usually brush and go. One reason I was hanging onto the longer hair idea is that it will be easier to have an "up do" of sorts for my wedding next spring (2009) if it's longer. Anyways, let me know what you think. The short hair pics are a couple years old but it gives a general idea. Sorry I don't have a lot of great examples.. I'm at work and these are the only ones I have on my photobucket. Longer hair: Shorter hair:

vegetarian and on nasty medifast
Oh man, I sympathize with you.. I tried Medifast last year on my own and I lasted just under 3 weeks (but I was allowed to have a non-medifast dinner, like chicken and veggies). I dont know how you ate the tomato soup that was the worst one in my opinion. It is all just awful. Good luck! And I think eating veggies would be okay.

Gratitude
Congrats on your upcoming bandiversary, you have done fantastic. Sounds like this past year has provided quite a number of changes for you. They say to love the skin you're in... well when I'm down at my goal and surrounded by it I'm gonna give myself a big old hug and love it. And big hugs to you, keep up the awesome work - you're an inspiration.

What is the march bandster's official name for this year?
Hey Kimmie, you might have better luck with your poll if you post it in the March 2008 area. I didn't vote since I'm not a March bander but for the record I like Marvelous Marchers. :tt2: Good luck with your up coming journey.

I think I had a NSV
You're right!!! YAY! Oh and I think I neglected to mention that even though I wasn't going into buy, I left with a pair of 24's hehe. WOOHOOO

I think I had a NSV
I think I had my first NSV today, but I'm not sure to be honest. After work today I stopped by our local "plus size" store here in Canada, Penningtons, and thought I'd try on a pair of pants - I wasn't intending to buy just more curious than anything. So I was wearing a size 26 jeans at the time of my surgery but they were snug. I found a couple pairs of pants I liked and grabbed two sizes of each... 24s and 26s. I tried the 24's on first and they fit, and they fit comfortably!! So that seems like a NSV right? But the part that throws me off is - the weight I am right now, I was last spring/summer'ish and at that weight then a 24 wouldn't have fit me. So did I have a NSV and now the pants fit or ... since I haven't boughten jeans made by MxM (brand carried by Penningtons) in a while, maybe they're sized differently? Hmmmmm.

Had my first PB today... Cool
Haha, you're a better sport about it than I likely will be when I have my first one, but at least you learned something :tongue2:

What happened to the Christian Bandsters?
Check out the main forum list - they have added specific forums/threads for special interest threads - it likely got moved into there under "religious".

I need a swift kick in the...
Hey Andrea, I understand what you mean about being heavy and not wanting to use it yet - I think that's the biggest deterent for me right now. But at the same time I also realize that to be less heavy I need to exercise so it's like damned if ya do, damned if ya don't. I do live in BC and in the lower mainland so when it's not raining it is usually mild yup. However, unfortunately I only get 1/2 hr lunch breaks which doesn't allow for much besides slowly eating my lunch otherwise that's a fantastic idea. I am moving in a couple of weeks so my evenings after work are spent packing up my house and once this hecticness is over I am going back to Curves for sure (doc gave me the a-o-k). And, I will have no excuse because it's within walking distance of my new house, haha.

I need your opinions....get in here! :)
Ahh girlie, we all sympathize, we have been there and some of us like myself are still in "banster hell" except now I'm out of post op diet phase waiting for first fill. So first of all I want to give ya a BIG HUG! but then you realize I'm gonna have to grab you by the shoulders and give you a gentle shake. I was like you, after about a week I felt good to go, no pain really nothing. I have basically been hungry since surgery. The first week or two was tough, but you learn to deal with it because of the greater good down the road. My surgeon told me in my follow up after my surgery that even though I feel fine and think I could eat a sandwich dont do it. While it may have no effects now he said, it could be down the road attributed to erosion or slips if you did not let your body heal properly. I'm sure you are okay but you could always fess up to your doc and see what he has to say - just tell him you had a lapse in judgement but are back on track. And yes mushies does say ground beef but last time I checked that's not steak hehe. It sounds like you have realized your mistake and know that you should be eating better. So make the vow to yourself and your band to behave from here on out. YOU CAN DO IT!!!! :tongue2::biggrin::smile:

Hrm.
Hehe, you could consider doing two sets of before and afters? I am doing mine that way. I have one set in form fitting exercise type clothes and the other in my skivvies that will be just for me and DF's eyes only.
