Is anyone from the Asheville area and had their surgery locally. I have been talking with Mission Weight Management but my first consulation isn't until next month and I'm really anxious to get this started!! I was wondering if anyone had any advice to help get my ducks in a row for the insurance. I email the Hickory Clinic but I haven't hear anything from them. Did anyone have their surgery there and how long did it take to get the first appointment? Thanks

Hi guys! I have an appointment next month with the surgery center, nurse and i am having a hard time waiting. I have done research and read post and I am so excited. Once I start the process they said that it could take up to seven months! I have been over weight all my life and I really want the surgery but I not sure the insurance will cover it. I don't have anything but a BMI of 43, family history of diabetes and heart disease. I do have the starting of high blood pressure and depression but maybe they will find that that is enough. Sorry I just needed to get some support because the wait is killing me! Do any of have any regrets with the surgery? Thanks!

I'm considering lap-band does anyone have any experience with National Benefits Admin in Charlotte, NC. National Benefits, Inc. and it also is Compass Point Medical so I not sure who would handle it? Help. If i do self pay anybody has any ideas? Thanks

I have an appointment with a nurse with a weight loss surgery center in Sept and I cannot wait. I just have a few questions, I noticed alot of you guys are self pay. Was the surgery expense with self pay. i have insurance but I don't know if they will pay for the surgery. I am 30 years old and at about 270. I really want to loose weight but I have tried everything. I don't think I can afford the surgery if the insurance doesn't pay for it. The surgery center that I am going to requires seven months of information and appointments before surgery is that normal? :eek:
