Hi guys!

I have an appointment next month with the surgery center, nurse and i am having a hard time waiting. I have done research and read post and I am so excited. Once I start the process they said that it could take up to seven months! I have been over weight all my life and I really want the surgery but I not sure the insurance will cover it. I don't have anything but a BMI of 43, family history of diabetes and heart disease. I do have the starting of high blood pressure and depression but maybe they will find that that is enough.

Sorry I just needed to get some support because the wait is killing me! Do any of have any regrets with the surgery? Thanks!

Well I can't answer about the regrets, (not banded yet) but I sure can relate to the waiting! I was hoping to be scheduled by the middle of August but w/summer vacations I was pushed back to 8/3. I felt like it would never get here but last Tuesday when I started the dreaded preop diet I finally felt like i was on my way. Selfpay seems to go a lot faster than insurance. If you can get your surgery to pay, it's probably worth the wait. If you want to self pay, you could probably schedule your surgery for next week!

I don't have any regrets about surgery. It was a great experience, minimal if any pain, piece of cake. I am starting fills now, and experiencing the feeling of slight fullness. Go for it!
