  1. I can't recall this happening, but on nights when I can't fall asleep I put on some soft music and that usually does the trick.
  2. I don't recall getting bored. The first 3 weeks flew by for me. I took multiple walks a day, multiple naps a day, and had my head buried in WLS related books and websites such as this.
  3. Awesome!! Glad to hear everything went well. Best Wishes!
  4. I haven't tried that one yet. I love Jay Robb brand. I buy it at GNC.
  5. I love my personal trainer. We meet every other week. She writes the workout programs for me and is always e-mailing me with nutritional tips, articles, etc. She has even gone running and biking with me outside of our scheduled times. I canceled my cable tv provider and that pays for my trainer. I should also add that my trainer and I are always trying to make each other laugh in between sets. We have a great professional relationship. I also clean my gym once a week for an hour at a time, in return I get a free membership and free tanning.
  6. Congrats on your success so far!!!!
  7. It will work, but you will need to put in the effort to make it truly successful. The WLS is just the tip of the iceberg. The rest is up to you. Good luck and best wishes!!!
  8. Happy Birthday and best wishes, you will do great!!!!!
  9. Awesome and congrats! I bought a bike a month ago. So much fun!!!
  10. I don't know that I would consider myself a runner, but I try to run 4 to 6 miles a week. I have also run three 5K races so far this year. My training plan was pretty simple: put one foot in front of the other, repeat at a slightly faster pace. I let my body dictate how far I ran on each training run. Before I knew it, I was able to run for 3 miles at a time. (Something I hadn't done in 14 years) I also bought a subscription to runner's world magazine. I have never tried the couch to 5K, but that seems like a logical place to start.
  11. LOL! You just summed up how I have been feeling lately. It seems almost everyone in my circle of co-workers, friends, and family have become WLS experts. My doctor and my NUT both agree that I have lost what I should have (and then some), but they don't think that my goals of loosing more are unrealistic or unhealty. Great topic!
  12. I waited until I was on stage 4 foods.
  13. Hang in there Carmen!
  14. AWESOME!!! Congrats!!!
  15. Glad to hear you are doing great!!! Best Wishes!!!
  16. Yes you will. When they start selling a 4 bite pizza, then I will start eating them again. You may find that your tastes change. I tried pizza twice now and it just does not interest me. I can say the same for hamburgers, pork chops, chicken, steak, and tuna. I could eat 2 jars of pickles a day if I let myself, and I could eat Wendy's chili all day long.
  17. That is awesome!! Keep up the stellar work!!
  18. Good luck and best wishes for you tomorrow!!
  19. My goal back in January was to run five 5k races before December. I have run three so far. I am also going zip-lining in August, and sky-diving in September.
  20. Nothing. I couldn't be more happy with where I am at.
