  3. I chose this to be honest as this was the first one that I found . I have enjoyed the multi forums on here and everyone is so supportive and full of so much knowledge ...it's also nice to know there is one place I can go to that covers any topics that I may have questions for . Good luck with your approval

  5. Wow for it to last that long, him maybe it has to do with the protein supplements or shakes that your drinking?
  6. Hi it drives me insane that the surgeons put you all on this pre op diet....unfortunately the only advice I can offer is the Popsicles, checked broth, orange juice with injury protein mixed in, oatmeal if they allow, or is clear liquid they want you on?
  7. You need to have failed conservative methods and having pics and documentation will def help...I work for bcbs of pa and de and still will have to go the same route everyone else does , I have to wait until 18 months out before its even considered .
  8. I was a soda addict for years and gave up coke a month before my surgery and it was painful but so worth it...I felt like I was doing a 12step program to stop. Our inclination of having or developing an ulcer is so high, that they prefer we don't have soda or have it but flat soda only
  9. Yes it's terrible because its all the toxins that are cleaning out from your body , only last for a month
  10. My husband never said that to me but I did feel left out for awhile and just didn't join then for dinner till I was able to start eating
  11. Don't worry about gaining weight , just remember to eat right...my situation when I got pregnant was different , I was morbidly obese and they didn't want me to gain anything and I didn't the whole 9 months...just made sure I was eating right and she came out 8 lbs and 2oz....so this was prior to me having the weight loss surgery but it can be done , eating right and not gaining
  12. I am with you , I have been able to get in 1 walk a week, but after being at work all day , in just want to come home and rest... If my husband wakes me up early that's the only time I can get motivated to do something
  13. Unjury unflavored and mix it in orange juice , crystal light, hot coco
  14. I have a latex , adhesive , morphine , and codeine allergy ... Learned about the morphing after I have birth ...I wanted to rip my skin off cause I itched so much
  15. Ok 5 months out and occasionally still ave those days but I then I put something on that I could never wear before and it makes me feel a little better...I feel like I'm missing out here and there with BBQ s and birthday party's cause everyone is eating and enjoying themselves and I'm just watching ...but I wasn't happy before and I couldn't do a lot before...my kids can put there arms around me and my husband gives me more affection and attention and I actually like it.. He tried before I lost the weight but I hated myself.,,.i couldn't believe I ever let myself get as big as I did and it kept me from enjoying life....it will get better and I promise that we are all here to support you...
  16. Wine has no nutritional value , I know every dr is different but when we decided to go the surgical route we were agreeing to a whole new way of life...I'm not saying you should never drink , but you don't want to get caught up in drinking or eating things that will lead to other habits in the past... It's best to wait a year in while utilizing your tool ... I know that their are alot of opinions across the board but I know the main things is to get enough protein in and drink as much water as possible so as not to get dehydrated ...
  17. I work for insurance and you have to use methods to treat it ... The dr has to state you tried conservative measures before most ins will pay for it, sucks ... So my advice is taking lots of pictures and unfortunately let it get worse...
  18. Your fine , I still can't get 16 oz of water down and I'm almost 5 months out... It bothers me but I can drink coffee and unsweetened ice tea
  19. B12 , multi vitamin , calcium citrate , and muralax for regularity
  20. The quest bars are my favorite , they are expensive but do the job , high in protein , 1 gram of sugar and 1 net carb ....
