  1. Thank u for that...I'm just having a pride issue. fortunately the dr I was with was very nice and didn't seem put out. He did tell me I wasn't the 1st I just hate it was my 1st day .. I'm such a perfectionist and very prideful
  2. Looking good!!!!! Btw I'm still learning this app. Idk how to add pics on here cause I took one today to send to family out of state to show I'm down 1/2 a chin and hopefully getting closer to one!!!
  3. I truly hope so!!! I do feel like I will have to prove myself a bit more
  4. I think I was a little low this morn but for the most part I've been pretty good at forcing the fluids even when I don't want to
  5. Hope it all went well!!! Speedy recovery
  6. 188.8...down from 213 day of surgery..1 month today post op. my highest weight 230. Taking the victories as they come
  7. So I really need to vent a bit. I started at a new clinic today at the Air Force medical hospital I work at. I had prided myself by being all prepared and was feeling pretty great and had went almost 2 days without vomiting..I was super pepped as I had weighed this morn my 1 mo post op and was down 25.3lb!!! I get to work and I am working in pediatrics. I have worked many areas including er,surgery, and hospice..I'm a nurse and have saw some pretty awful things!!! I am brand new meeting my coworkers and the dr I'm working for today and around 11 I go in with the dr and another coworker to assist with a circumcision. Well the baby is crying and finally numbed up and I am trying to comfort and soothe the baby. Idk if it was the heat, the sheer horror of what I was seeing being done to the baby, bending over to the table to comfort the baby for so long..or just dehydration but I made it to the very end of of procedure and fainted!!! I remember feeling lightheaded and my vision blurred and I was in a sweat And I was embarrassed And didn't want to say anything. I kept trying to breathe thru it and remain calm and just be professional. I remember saying something like .." I don't feel so good" and then I came to in a chair. Apparently I managed to get it out and was heard by the coworker and he was able to grab me before I hit the floor and drug me to a chair. I am utterly horrified. Embarrassed!!! There's not enough words to describe how upset and embarrassed I am cause I feel it made me look like a weak nurse!!! My very 1st day and I swear I can't make this crap up!! I don't think it was a huge thing then talked about but I'm sure I had a few snickers. Just horrified..anyways..there was my day and tomorrow we leave on a road trip so I can kinda hope it won't be as fresh next week when I go back...hope everyone else had a better day!!!!!
  8. It was awful!!! Pcos had made mine irregular but when it finally came it was a nightmare. Possibly true in what I've heard about estrogen being stored in your fat cells and maybe it makes it go a bit whacko. I couldn't leave the house
  9. Today marks my 4th week post op (surg 4/30) I'm having a hard time with food. I'm still pretty much soft and mush but I seem to have issues with no eating slow enough or just not feeling I'm full until its too late. It's not like every time it's the same amount so it's kind of weird. I only know I'm full when I feel the pain in my chest and then there comes the rush to make it to the bathroom. I'm getting my liquids in for the most part my protein too. I've lost 24lb today upon weighing. I'm thrilled by the changes I'm noticing but I have nobody to talk about these "other" parts of surgery really..like trying to plan out what I need to take to work with me,what I can eat, what if I have to vomit at work, eating out with family or friends, trying new foods, dizziness, nausea and fatigue. I don't regret having this surgery as overall I think it's going to make a truly positive change my life I just wish I could hurry up and get over this not so pleasant part.
  10. Speedy recovery! Prayers for u today
  11. Nice!!! I hope mine does soon too!!!
  12. Just don't rub them and they don't bruise as bad it was a different experience cause I'm a nurse and usually on the other end. Fortunately once I was released back home he put me back on my aspirin and no more shots at home. I just have to be religious about my Pepcid twice a day so I don't have as much a risk for ulcer.
  13. I'm 3 weeks out also and went to lunch with friends. They were quiet shocked and seeing me only take a few bites shocked them even more. 1 more week then on to soft diet. It's challenging but down 22lb so I keep trudging along and hope nobody notices much.
