  1. Welcome! I'm a newbie and your post made me excited! Glad to have a testament to longer term success when that's a huge selling point of why I got rny...wanted to still be healthy and maintain years later. Anyways..welcome

  3. What part of FL? I'm in the panhandle. It would be my dream come true to even feel comfy here from apr-dec!! I can't imagine 102 with feeling cool..102 and I'm zapped like a ragdoll
  4. Finally keeping all my fluids & food down...saw a old coworker from last year and she was amazed and told me I looked so diff she almost didn't recognize me...I think that's a good thing!!! Feeling good enough to try to start back running soon. I'm excited about that....I just hope I can muster enough energy to do it..last week was the nausea now it's fatigue
  5. Please pass it to me!!!!! I'm tired of sweating and feeling miserable hot all the time, plus a skinny friend passed me some cute sweaters!!
  6. No dumping here..too afraid to push it. I am pretty much out and about and too busy and tired to really put myself in a position to where I could even have a dumping episode. I kinda hope if I did I would tho..sweets are a huge favorite of mine and where I def would lose control
  7. I won't miss having raw chafed thighs no matter what I put on them and having to wear compressions shorts under EVERYTHING in hot and sweaty FL!!!
  8. Hang on tight..will be here before u know it
  9. 5 wish post op(4/30/13) ..down 25lb... Have about 60 more to go
  10. So glad u are doing great!!! Keep walking cause it really does help u bounce back!!! Welcome to the losers bench!!!
  11. Thanks...I really do hope so
  12. Made 5 weeks yesterday and hit the dreaded stall. Even tho I knew in my head this will happen eventually and probably more than once....I got a bit emotional ...it didn't help reading about some folks having all this energy when I'm struggling . I'm feeling better and nausea is getting so much better and I'm keeping food down. Going to pick up the pace a bit with my exercise and cross my fingers it works. Loaded up at the commissary today with different type of proteins that might change up things and help with my intake.
  13. Try some sugar free Popsicles. Might help. Even with the nausea I've had..I can handle the Popsicles pretty well. Maybe it would help some
  14. It's always been like that for me..any weight I lost was usually in the summer..I'm using sugar free Popsicles now as my extra fluids. I had also bought a icee machine for my son and I have found several bottles of the sugar free "syrup" lol liquids..and it's great! I have blue raspberry and some Hawaiian punch and I'm digging it now! My son even likes the sugar free.
  15. Mine is more I feel the heat & humidity just zaps me so I don't want to eat. Have to force the fluids and then some tho cause I live in FL. I'm always hot and sweating. I'd love my "side effect" of wls to be feeling cold all the time but nope. So..yes the heat makes it harder to eat & perhaps makes nausea I've had worse
  16. Well I hope it works out for u.. Sounds like he's off to a good start!!!
  17. Yes Zofran has become my constant companion!! It's getting better now that I've went back to protein and broth and seems to be working. Fingers crossed.
  18. It must be some kinda adjustment phase that occurs around this timeframe perhaps? I'm seeing several folks say this too. I've managed 2 days now without vomiting. Staying on my Zofran for awhile and gonna do more protein shakes til I feel stable.
