  1. We went out to eat with family and they asked me if I was sick...the waiter commented on how I eat like a bird. Asked me three times if everything was alright. I just tell them I'm on a medically supervised diet....extended family doesn't know.
  2. I saw my physical therapist for the first time since before surgery. He told me I looked like half the person I was....called me beautiful!

  8. I drank eas advantage shakes...seven shákes a day...it helped to space them out. Not everyone has a choice, though. I also drank v-8 with my nutritionist 's approval.
  9. Don't take anymore than the recommended dosage...it's very dangerous, especially to gastric bypass patients. There is a much higher risk of liver failure with us.
  10. Loose skin has to do with skin elastisity...I talked to a plastics Dr....he told me surgery is my only option...firming cream doesn't work.

  13. I haven't hit rem reliably in years. I can't take ambian ...Im one of those people that walk around doing weird things when I take it...including eating without knowing it. That experiment made for some interesting family folklore!
  14. Someone in my support group mixes chocolate protein powder with peanut butter and swears it tastes like a reeses...I'm not a chocolate fan so I haven't tried it. She only has it about once a week, I guess and it takes her days to eat it.
  15. I have sleep disorder( sleep maintaince disorder) and have been on trazadone for years...used to work better but not absorbed as well since surgery...sigh. they're trying me on silenor next.

  17. I feel ya! Up at 2:20 this am. It certainly messes with my energy level.
  18. Anyone else have a hard time eating protein separately? It's fine if you have a separate protein, but a lot of time my recipes require a blending of flavors ala lobster club salad I had last night. It's meant to be eaten together! I still do it 'cause it's hard to take small bites if you have a lot of ingredients to put together, but I sometimes miss taking bites of lots of flavors that marry together at the same time. I really missed big bites last night!
  19. So sorry to hear about your complications, Marry. That sucks.
