  1. Just trying to keep things as normal as possible.
  2. Quinia veggie salad, and grilled turkey burger
  3. Update...teaching hospital definitely thinks I'm throwing clots from my heart...sh$@! More tests Thu. Then follow up with vascular and cardiology and neurology. On top of that, my other graft in my neck, has to be stented or totally revised. Double sh@$! Until then, I just walk around hoping I don't have another TIA. Trying to see this as taking care if my health and not a total negative.
  4. Back to walking. My doctor said I might want to skip water aerobics until they find out what happened with the whole stroke symptom thing I had....probably wise.
  5. Unfortunately I'm having stroke symptoms, not typical migraine pain. Fioricet is great for my regular migraines, though.
  6. Yummy pork tenderloin, quinoa in chicken broth, and broccoli. I just wanted this after hospital food
  7. Yeah...got home from the hospital and there's nothing to eat..we had pizza.I ate the cheese off a piece...not good, but what ya gonna do? Will go to the store tomorrow.
  8. Was discharged yesterday.I either have atypical migraines, which they are treating with gabapentin (yuck), or all this is as a result of my bypass, which I had in 2000, being blocked....I see a vascular specialist at a the university hospital where I originally had the bypass Tuesday...my graft is 70% occluded...not good. I insisted on going back to the Medical College ...I was done with the hospital for now. The food situation at the hospital was terrible...finally just brought in my own protein. Ah well.
  9. Quinoa is a better alternative....has protein and better carbs.
  10. I just got out of the hospital for an unrelated issue..up 14 lbs omg...bad food, no exercise and fluids.I didnt eat much but had to bring in my own protein powder and vitamin water after two days...they brought me full sugar ensure protein! Yikes! Granted, this was a different hospital than the one in which I had my bypass, but trying to get a nut. consult was ridiculous. I don't think they ever even called my bypass surgeon, yet they kept fretting over how little I ate...ok, rant over.
  11. Mami, we're all pulling for you...youre absolutely doing the right thing.
  12. The more you move, the better you'll feel, really.
  13. The more you move, the better you'll feel, really.

  15. Tried to order from the hospital menu...they do not get wls patients....
  16. My motivation is to reduce my chronic pain, to lower cholesterol and triglycerides, to avoid type 2 diabetes, and to avoid hypertension. Looking better is just gravy
