  1. Mami, that's funny. My original intention was not to be as small as you, but I may turn out that way. I told my surgeon I would be happy at 150 and he's like "no no no no no" we can do better!
  2. I'm 5'0 and was 211 my surgery day June 5, 2013. I've lost 45 lbs, I am 166. I've had a few complications though.
  3. Do you guys just eat them plain? Just open them as take a bite?
  4. HEB

Best thing I found at HEB was fat free Mootopia milk. It is lactose free milk but has like 12 or 13 grams of protein in a glass which is much more than regular milk or lactose free milk. I used it for everything to up my protein intake.
  5. Thanks for the well wishes. Just because it happened to me doesn't mean it will happen to anyone else, I just wondered if anyone else had experienced an increase in them since surgery.
  6. I am almost 10 weeks out. About 11 days ago I go my first kidney stone EVER. Ouch! Then I ended up getting admitted to the hospital and getting an EGD and dilation. Yesterday I ended up in the ER with a kidney stone on the other side. Has anyone experienced kidney stones after surgery? Apparently WLS can make you more susceptible?
  7. I'm the same! 7 weeks out and stuck between liquid and soft food stage. Just wish I could eat something but I've lost 42 lbs
  8. I understand I haven't had it nearly as rough as you but I can only imagine. I'm here if you need someone.
  9. I'm glad were talking about this. I pretty much had a nervous break down this week. Upping my depressions meds. Valium has saved my sanity. Getting ready to move next week, school full time....blah blah I feel like I'm losing my mind. I urge everyone feeling this way to find someone to be there for you!!
  10. Currently live in Texas but will be moving back to the Omaha, Nebraska area in a couple weeks. Any locals?!
  11. Take some pain meds, just the minimal dose. I had a big hematoma undergone of my incisions which caused a Ton of pain up til a few days ago
  12. Did some research and spoke with my doctor, discovered I may be having some withdrawal symptoms since I cold-turkeyed my Lortab a few days ago.....great....
  13. So today is a new day but I still woke up feeling very sad and anxious. So much to do today, Idk how I'm gonna do it. 4 weeks today. Everyone tells me it gets better but I can't help but be scared it won't.
  14. How far out are you? Don't be afraid to use your pain meds. I was on them for almost a month.
  15. Tomorrow I'm one month out...having one of those "I wish I didn't do this" days. Been feeling sick since last night....work, kids, school full time, husband getting out of army and getting ready to move all at the same time.....can't afford to be sick... sometimes I think feeling normal and being able to eat would be worth being my previous weight....pity party over here!!!
  16. I wasn't given a medicine for gallstone prevention. I was on Zegerid antacid but it was nasty powder so now I just take Prilosec OTC. I open the caps and take it that way.
  17. All my vitamins are Bariatric Advantage. AM-1 multi, 1 calcium chew, 1 sublingual b12, NOON-1 calcium chew, 1 vitamin D, DINNER-1 multi, 1 calcium, 1 probiotic, NIGHT-1 iron
  18. I'm 3wks 2 days out also. It really sucks. I make delicious refried Beans but can only eat 2 tablespoons. Sucks cause it tastes so good it makes me want more but if I eat just one bite too many I'm in excruciating pain! This is normal. You're allowed to be upset. I am too. One day at a time! Eventually we will feel a bit more normal!!!
  19. My first thought was to tell you to watch out for thrush. Idk if this helps but I notice whenever I have fake sugar, like crystal light or truvia in my tea, it leaves a weird film on my teeth, makes me feel like I need to brush them! Just a thought!
  20. Potato soup is always iffy for me!
