  1. I made spaghetti squash and put a tiny amount of marinara sauce on it and had 1 beef meatball. Spaghetti squash was crunchier than I expected but still good!!!
  2. Last night I had 2 bites BBQ brisket and 2 bites BBQ pork ribs (no sauce on either). Thank god no problems! Today I tried BBQ smoked chicken and about 2 bites potato salad and that went well too! I also tried some Wendy's chili the other day. Was a little nervous about all of this but it seemed to go ok! When will I be able to eat more than a couple bites without being too full?
  3. I'm right there with you!
  4. I tried a few Lays Sriracha chips tonight. They were amazing but I ate them too fast! So I switched to a couple bites guacamole!
  5. Hurts more now than it did when they did it!
  6. Got a new piercing to commemorate my 55lbs of weight lost!
  7. Mission Carb Balance Whole wheat fajita size
  8. I forgot, today for lunch I took a 6 inch carb balance tortilla (only 3G net carbs) and put it in a pan with mozzarella cheese on top. The tortilla got a little crispy and the cheese melted. Topped with tsp of Parmesan and a dash of pepper. Cut into 1/4 like a pizza and shared with my 2 yr-old. I only at 1/4 but I was proud of my creativity and not having to eat cottage cheese...again!!!
  9. Thanks for the tips! I also may try baking it!
  10. Everyone seems to do well with spicy. I loooove Mexican food but I'm terrified of anything spicy. I guess I should just go for it. Also, cheese enchiladas are amazing and high in protein from the cheese but aren't they also a little greasy and high in fat? I've been so sick with my stricture I'm scared of everything. You all don't have any problems with them though?
  11. You're doing amazing! 30 lbs in 6 weeks?! That's 5lbs a week! Cut yourself some slack my friend!
  12. I made tofu for the first time today. I sautéed it in some Thai peanut satay sauce. Sauce was great...tofu....not so much!
  13. I'm not sure I even see real spaghetti in my foreseeable future. Real Pasta scares me!
  14. Uhhhh, this doesn't sound "normal" to me BUT, you are only a few days out. You need to rest your body! I'm 3 months out and still battle nausea, but don't get discouraged!
  15. I can't wait to try spaghetti squash. I love all squash so I'm excited. Time to go grocery shopping!
  16. I made shepherd's pie for the fam for dinner tonight. While I was cooking I had a couple spoons of mashed potatoes and a small piece of Colby cheese leftover from grating. Later on in the evening I shared a wedge of laughing Cow cheese with the hubby!
  17. RJ, That's a great question for all of us. I have been having a Lot of ups and downs. I do take medicine for that but nothing helps resentment. Before I had this surgery I was always resentful that I couldn't eat whatever I wanted. Why couldn't I be the girl who ate everything and looked great?! Now, I'm 3 months out, and I still feel that way. Guess I don't deal well with being told no. Time to go to the therapist again!!
  18. My go to was refried beans thinned out with chicken broth and a tiny bit of shredded cheese on top. Everyone on here raves about a ricotta bake, google "The world according to eggface" she has this recipe and many others!!
  19. Water. Had an EGD with dilation yesterday my parents are eating BLTs and the hubby and kids are eating Burger King. FML
  20. I had one on the right side. It was pretty painful, but nothing to worry about. They said it was a hematoma under my incision.
  21. Wanna hear something weird and a bit ironic? My doc finally called yesterday with the results of my kidney stone analysis during my EGD. He said I have uric acid kidney stones and to not eat a lot of shellfish or animal protein. Funny thing is, I haven't had any! When I got that stone I wasn't even drinking my protein anymore cause I was so sick. Gonna call my Bari doc today and see if I need to switch to soy protein.
