I would check with your nutritionist.... lots of people have stalls including myself but sometimes you have to increase the calories to lose, its that ol' metabolism thing !!! You have to fuel the body just like fueling a car - - no gas you don't go anywhere !!! So think of your body as a car

3/26/13 I was 4 months post op and I'm down 50lbs. This is an amazing feeling. I love seeing the changes my body is making. I LOVE getting dressed to go out, it's so fun now and it use to b such a drag. I love this new life, I pray I am able to hold on to this feeling forever!

I'm considering a memorial service for my hair. I swear every time I shower it looks like someone drowned a moderately sized squirrel in the tub.

No complications but my pain was dreadful....my surgery weight at my highest was 266 and my offical weight in today has put in onederland ..I'm soooooo excited I am 196 making my weight lost 70 in 3.1/2 months never thought I will be here...I can cry

Thanks everyone!! I still have lots of moments where I feel fat or can't judge how I look to others like if people will think I look normal weight or far or chunky and I still have about 40lbs to go but I feel lots better now that all the weight is going away. I'm in an 8 petite or med dress and a med shirt!!! A lot different than a 2x !!!!

I gained on my diet too. We are all human. I am just over two weeks post op, so I made it and you will too. The pre op dieting is the hardest part but its worth it. It's ok to make mistakes once in awhile.

Blahahahahahaha that's about right. Glad I got lots if sugar free trident. Lol.

Yay!!!!!!! I am out of the hospital and now at home!!!!!! So happy! Still have a drain in my side for a few more weeks, but that's ok! Happy to be with my husband and all my fur babies! plus even after all the hospital fluids I weighed in at 198 this morning! Starting weight for journey was 229, sw 214.

Oh heavens. I am addicted to tuna fish right now and shrimp so it does give me a lot of protein even if I don't make a Protein Shake. Yea my nut said by 6 months I will be up to 60 grams of protein. Someone on the march website put up something called protein 100. Maybe look into that.

I did lol! I wanted to eat everything for the last time. ( over and over again) lmao!! Once I got on the liver shrink I pulled myself together and lost 10 lbs but had McDonald's the night before my surgery. I love, love, love food. But all the bad stuff. I now learning how to eat healthy because if I don't my pouch will let me know about it. Haha.

A little funny....
So one of my surgeons comes in my room and says "did anyone tell you the good news?", I respond and say "YES, I get to drink water!!", she looked at me like I was crazy and then said "ya that too, but more important you don't have a leak anymore!", to which I say "oh ya that too!! I think I am just more excited about drinking Water right now!"
Ok well it was funny to me because she looked at me like WTH is wrong with this girl!?! Lol!!

I had surgery 3/18 - I am down 32 lbs. I find I don't lose if I don't get in my Protein. I can't stand Protein Shakes anymore lord I can't wait for food. I did try mashed potatoes, ricotta cheese. That is all I have been brave enough to try. I am going to try Greek yogurt this afternoon. I am going back to the dr on Thursday for a check up. I have to say so far this has been a lot less scary vs what I thought it would be. I am getting scared to eat foods. My husband has to sit by me as I have the puréed foods. I am scared to get sick. I stayed in the hospital 2 days. I am sleeping on my sides, I didn't use pain meds past 1 day hated how they made me feel. I asked my husband did they just make tiny cuts on me and not do the surgery? He said no! I do get burly a lot when eating so that worries me so I am not even doing a fourth of a cup. It happens when I drink sometimes. I did try a straw mistakes after the first sip I said no way! It is amazing how we can feel things right away.
I am glad I found this group!

It was on march 26th loss of 13 pounds. Oh so exciting. It will go so fast and I was approved in 2 days. Ok add me, we can go through this all tighter. Dumped today after eating stuffing. Oh my was that an experience. Pain! But that's all the stuff you will need to know about.

Thanks Ladies! I appreciate the encouragement. It's hard to change my ways and I've failed so many times at weight loss that its hard not to get discouraged
I do use my fitness pal (mfp) which is how I know my Protein, fat and carb intake. It has also been a great tool for me!

Hey everyone I made it through everything was a success minimal pain been up walking so far no gas pain,nausea and no dizziness just sleepy swallow test good no appetite at all going to be given liquids around noon overall feeling pretty good!!!! Hope everyone I'd doing great !!!!!
