  1. I'm only 40lbs. Down... Hoping when I reach my fol which is another 45-50lbs. I will be symptom free!!!
  2. With me I tried and tried to make it work until the youngest started seeing him beating on me... Once that happened I said that's it!!! I left, for my children's well-being. But if you still love and have feelings for him then don't worry about what others say, do what's in your heart! Now if he is abusing you and/or your children the only thing I can say is to seek counseling for you and the children. Once you start counseling things may be put into better perspective for you and you can make a better informed decision and I'm sure the counselor can help you find a place for battered women and children.
  3. Lulu... Unfortunately I am suffer pretty bad with it !n I was about 85 lbs o extra weight... While my sister has it too but only a mold case and she weighs almost 500lbs. So you would think It would be just the opposite! I'm still waiting to hear back from my Neuro to see what he thinks we should do. I don't want a shunt or sheath either!! I think the optic nerve sheath scared me met than the shunt! I actually watched a video of the sheath and was like "oh HELL NO"!!!!
  4. @Anna... It's really a long thing to try to explain and still a lot of times people who don't have it or know someone who does have it might not really understand. If you google it or even Idiopathic intracranial hypertension( new name for it) it will go into great detail about this condition. Thanks for asking ; )
  5. You know I thought about dehydration and maybe this past sat and sun I only got about 30oz in both days but I average about 50oz or more a day so I don't think it's that! Maybe my body just needs more time and more weight loss before I see real results( crossing fingers) Lol !
  6. Jprez, my sister has it too but they weren't sure if its hereditary or not because my sister weighs close to 500lbs. I seem to have a more severe case than she does! My Neuro was hoping that if I lost enough weight it would go away. I'm 2 1/2 months post op and was doing better until about 3 weeks ago. For the last 3 weeks my symptoms have returned full force. Before surgery I was on 2000mg Diamox and 20mg Lasix. Since then I now take 500mg Diamox and my surgeon wants me off my meds completely, but at this point there's no way in hell I can come off my meds! I have literally had severe migraines every day usually from the minute I wake up until I go to bed!!!! I'm hoping it will go away soon, mine can come in "cycles" but I think it may be time to call my Neuro and eye Dr. and get some tests done. I'm really hoping with further weightloss it will go away! It's a real hard condition to live with and when it's bad.,,,, it's horrible !
  7. I have had this condition for almost 4 years now. Weightloss is supposed to improve or eliminate it. So far nothing : ( wondering if anyone else on this forum has it or had it and if loosing a lot of weight helped and when did you start seeing a change? I have lost 40lbs. Have 40-50 left to reach goal.
  8. Nel, if you pm me ur email address I can forward you the list my Dr. gave me!!!
  9. I'm with Cathy, I slept on the sofa for 4 weeks.. Partly because my bed is really tall and I'm only 4'10" so it hard for me to get in it when I'm well... Really not something I want to attempt right after surgery. Plus my sofa is uber comfy !!!
  10. So tonight I weighed my food... Had been using a lil 1oz cup to measure cu I had to buy a food scale. It seemed like soooo much meat! I measured 1.9 oz close enough to 2oz. I could not eat it all!!! Am I doing that right? Or should I be using the lil cup?
  11. I did... I live 45 min from my Dr. And I did ok! Mine was a week post op not 11 days. I won't lie, it was a bit painful getting in and out of a SUV but I managed! Good luck !
  12. At 3 weeks post op you are still swollen and holding fluid!!! Give it time and you will see a difference! Same thing happened to me... Well not 30lbs.(only 20 lbs.) but in another month or so you will not be swollen and you WILL see a smaller person.

I seldom have a drink but would love a skinny girl margarita when my 6 months comes... Just one drink but I'm afraid of the dumping... So anyone who dumps to sugar please let me know if this is a tolerable drink !!!

  22. 1oz slice deli roast beef with 1/2 oz pico de gallo and 1/4 oz light mozzarella cheese stick. Dos: 3-13-13
  23. Surgery date : 3-13-13 SW: 210.5 CW: 177.5 Down: 33 lbs..., unless you count the 24lbs. I gained in the hospital... Then I would be down 57lbs,
  24. @Calorado... I gained 24lbs I'm hospital.. By my 1month post op I had lost that plus 3 lbs. so I have a question.... When people talk about how much they have lost does anyone ever include what they gained in the hospital?? Just curious. I never added that to my weight loss
