April 27, 201313 yr By the time I got home from the hospital I had lost 13 lbs... Be patient, it will start moving... don't forget to sip all day, I used to set up a timer every 10 min so I wouldn't forget to sip!

April 27, 201313 yr When I got home from surgery, I'd "gained" 9 lbs - all from fluid they'd pumped into me during my stay. Fortunately, my doc's office had warned me about it, but it still wasn't fun having to "re-lose" the weight I'd worked so hard to lose via my pre-op liquid diet. The excess fluid did come off, it just took its sweet ole time in doing so.

April 28, 201313 yr My hospital stay was 3 days. I came home weighing 4 more lbs than when I went in. I stayed OFF the scale for the next 4 days. On the 5th day, I had lost those 4 lbs plus 3 more. I am post op 10 days and have lost 8lbs (plus the 4 of fluid). I refuse to get on the scale each day though. That's torture.
April 28, 201313 yr When you say it took its sweet ole time, about how long was that. how soon did you began vigorous walking It's hard to tell - took me about a week to get down to the weight I was when I entered the hospital. I have not yet begun vigorous walking, still on casual walking but for longer distances (e.g. 3000+ steps yesterday).
April 28, 201313 yr I too gained in the hospital, 7 stinking lbs. But when I went for my one week check up I lost that 7 plus 5 more. So I was actually only 5 less than my day of surgery weight. Still being 3 weeks 4 days out today, I am only down another 10 lbs. Seems to me to be slow. But they say slow and steady wins the race. And I will win this time!!!!!
April 28, 201313 yr Girl! I gained 15 pounds in the hospital! Talk about disappointment!!!! I lost all of it plus 12 pounds in 11 days!!! But have been at a stall since, I'm losing inches though. Keep doing what's right!! I have to tell myself.. It will happen
April 29, 201313 yr Just wanted to chime in - I think I am the post-op weight gain record holder - 20 pounds - it was awful - came back off plus more - took about 4 weeks - just stick with it!
