  1. My advice would be to try to relax and know that everything will be fine ! This was the beat decision I ever made and I feel so healthy and happy now !! Good luck to all of you on your new journey !
  2. Down 3lbs from last week ! CW: 167.5
  3. So I saw my Dr. For the 3 month check up and asked him about this. I told him it happened twice and he told me the same thing my friend said. I probably ate too fast! Good luck!
  4. Just talked to my Dr. today about this as I am 3 months post op and its coming out it handfuls... He said to take zinc and to buy the gelatin you use to make jelly and sprinkle it on my food at each meal, but that by 6 months post op it should be resolving itself and growing back
  5. I think it looks pretty good! Just keep an eye on the redness, good luck!
  6. I can get into positions I haven't ever been able to get in !!!! My hubby loves it, (wink, wink) and now I have to be careful when I shave my legs because apparently under all the fat I had there are bones. Lol !!!
  7. Grilled tuna steak (2oz) with steamed broccoli
  8. I asked a friend who had RNY 3 months before me and she said if you eat and then lay down too soon after or eat too fast it can happen. I did eat too fast and got a massage really soon after I ate. But let me know what your Dr. says
  9. I was gonna post this question also. Woke up at 4am with not bad but heartburn. First time since surgery! My dr. Told me when I had my RNY that it would cure the acid reflux. Have I done something wrong? My surgery was almost 3 months ago
  10. I would!!! Usually you can get a free consult. As I was told many ins companies will pay for a tummy tuck and usually the surgeon can get it approved for you!
  11. I did... But this time it hasn't been as severe as last time but my back killed me until today! It felt like a truck ran over my spine! My Neuro is still hoping it goes away when I loose the rest of my weight(45lbs.) but has brought up a vp shunt in the event it doesn't since I seem to have this severely. Not really sure what the heck that is but I'm sure he will explain it in Aug. if I am still suffering
  12. What an inspiration!!!! Keep up the hard work! I'm soo happy for you!
  13. I was the same way! The day I came home the contractors showed up to completely gut and redo our 2 bathrooms!!! I was up and down all day and they came at 7am and didn't leave until 4-5 most days for 6 weeks!!!! So I never got much rest and had to walk around all the crap they had all through both hallways!!! 3 months out and still don't get all 64oz of water a day. Usually it's between 45-50oz. When I first came home it was hard as hell but they told me just to try to drink as much as I could but don't beat myself up about it. That in time I would be able to handle more and more and that's exactly true !
  14. They told you to eat meat already ??? It is it just the protein? I wasn't on puréed food like meat till 3 weeks post op. I started protein shakes( 3a day) once I fit home. Don't worry in time you will be able to drink more, don't fret about that just try to rest and heal!
  15. Broiled shrimp with a little old bay and cocktail sauce I made with reduced sugar ketchup. Then maybe a bit if baked carrots
  16. Btw, how are you feeling since your surgery! Hope everything is good and you have a speedy recovery!
  17. I don't think they recommend pregnant women wearing things like that but I would ask ur ob
  18. I read that wrong... My Dr. Is Dr. Salzberg..... close to the same name as your Dr. Lol !!!
  19. Thanks! Dr. Called me and is raising my Diamox back up to 2,000mg daily.... I hate taking that much because the side affects are horrible on that much! But it does help out a lot !
  20. Yeah he's a great Dr. ! My surgery was 3-13-13 . Do you go to the meeting 1st Tuesday of every month?
  21. No problems with my stomach since that day !!!
  22. This was only my second... It hurts like hell !!! Well like I already knew my csf was high, opening pressure was 38. Just waiting to get a call from my Neuro in what his action plan will be. Laying down in the bed all day and night. Hopefully I won't get another spinal headache !
