  1. I feel you on that! My surgeon said don't loose anymore and I've lost another 6 lbs... They need to make a manual on how to stop loosing!!! Now I look like one of those ballerina girls with the flat chests!!! But yet somehow I still wear a 32 DD??? I def need volume!!! And money to pay for the volume !!!
  2. My tastes actually changed... I no longer like or want sweets anymore... It's soo weird how with some people they just get totally turned off on what they used to love! No sweets for me!
  3. I used to love love loooove sweets before my RNY!!! Now 9 months post op I don't crave them a bit, the smell of candy bars actually makes me feel sick!!! I tried I've cream twice and after 2 small bites of no sugar added I felt horrible and it tasted gross!!! So yes tastes change.
  4. I'm now as skinny as my sister in law!!! She always used to joke me about being heavy and now I am actually one size smaller than she is!
  5. @bubbles, if ur asking me... My stomach is almost completely flat with no extra skin, however before surgery it was not big considering... However, my upper arms and inner thighs have a small amount of excess skin that my surgeon and personal trainer both assure me within another year or so will be gone. I had big legs and upper arms in proportion to the rest of my body prior to surgery. But it really isn't that bad and no one notices it even when I point it out!

While that is true about the NSAIDs helping that is something post RNY patients cannot take unfortunately.
  7. I had that same talk with my nut.. I think mine stems from not wanting to regain the weight and the portion looks like sooo much! She said its all in my head and that it very common after this type if surgery to have those kinds of feelings

My dentist told me if mine acts up during the day and I'm home to use my guard
  9. I'm soo happy for you! It feels great doesn't it ! I just reached my goal weight at 9 months post op as well ! Keep up the good work and you look fabulous !!
  10. The best advice I can think of would be to follow your surgeons rules ! Don't cheat, your only sabotaging your own happiness and goals. And most important, everyone looses differently so don't compare your weight loss with other people's, or how slow or fast others seem to be loosing compared to you, it's not a race it's a journey that's different for each person!
  11. I'm nine months post op and had my visit with my surgeon today and he told me not to loose anymore weight!!! He said I have reached my weight loss goal and that I look amazing! I am soo happy! I went from a tight 18-20 down to a petite 4 !!! I top the scale during that time of the month when we all know I'm holding weight at 118.7 !!! I can't believe it... It seems unreal!!!
  12. As a former sugar addict I can totally relate! But I have been soo good since my RNY 9months ago.. I have not had a cookie, pie, sweet etc. unless you count s.f. Pudding!!! I think my success has come from total abstinence!!!! If I had given in and cheated I would have likely wanted more and more! I don't really get cravings for sweets, but yes sometimes especially right now during the holidays I feel left out. If I want a treat I eat fat free sugar free pudding!
  13. Great progress and you look fantastic!!
  14. In the US, a " cup" in 8 oz. fluid or dry. Do a half a cup is 4oz, 1/4 cup is 2oz. Etc. hope that helps
  15. Uggghhhh I have that too! But fortunately as I get smaller and the more squats and leg lifts and leg exercises I do the tighter and smoother it gets! Hang in there... It will get better!!!
  16. Your looking great Jerz !!! Keep up the good work !
  17. That article puts the term " rough sex" in a whole new category... LMAO !!!
  18. Lookin real good there Rich !!! Keep up the good work, before you know it you'll be at your goal weight!
  19. I used to have big boobs and a white girl ghetto booty.... Not now! The 2 things I didn't want to loose are now gone, but there's nothing you can do but accept the fact and move on!
  20. Patty I can totally relate... When I met my husband I was about a size 16. He thought I was soo sexy then and he likes bigger women!! Now I might wear a size 4 soaking wet! While he has never told me he finds me unattractive I have lost all the assets he loved most about my body. My once size DD breast now look like small shriveled raisins that are probably a C cup and my rear that was soo perky and huge is flat and saggy.. There is nothing attractive about my body anymore!!! But, never once has he told me anything but how much he loves me and that I'm still beautiful to him... Although I don't totally believe that I can't say much in retort because at least he is trying to make me feel good... He knows there isn't anything I can do about my weightloss or my figure. I think in some ways it's hard for our spouses to go through the process as well because maybe they weren't aware things would change soo much.
  21. Thanks everyone, I feel great too! I'm still loosing and am pretty sure I will be lighter than 120lbs in the end... I am only 4'10 1/2" short !!!
  22. Before surgery : 216.... High weight after surgery 234lbs. 8 1/2 months post op : 123 lbs. goal weight 120lbs.
