  1. Egg drop soup again....and it is delicious!
  2. Sorry no not right after surgery. When I was released to go home I could drink as much as I wanted. After surgery I was allowed (after my leak test) 1oz every 30 minutes, then it increased to 1oz every 15 minutes.
  3. It was a combination. The pain was so bad one night I called my nurse coordinator the next day and he told me it was probably residual pain from surgery left over. After two more nights of the pain breaking through all the pain meds I was taking I finally gave in and went to the ER. I went in early in the morning and once my bariatric surgeons came not work they were all over me doing X-rays and ct scans with contrast. That's when they found it. Thank goodness they did. The 16 days in he hospital were rough but I know it was for the best. I sure wont take any chances when it comes to the pain anymore.
  4. No sorry Hubby got me some from a local Chinese restaurant. I've been on full liquids since March 18th and just had to have some! it was super delicious!
  5. Hi. I had my rny on march 14. Although I did not have an infection in my incisions I did end up having an internal infection from leakage. I originally left the hospital on march 18. They had given me two blood transfusions because my white counts were so crazy. I think they thought that would take care of everything because initially I showed no leaks on my leak test. I ended back in the hospital exactly one week from my release date and then was admitted for 16 days. I am unable to do exercise except slow walking as i was sent home with a drain in my side. the drain was just removed yesterday. i as well am still on full liquids with a release to go to purée this weekend. I have been slowly moving myself along to purée already. Since I have technically been on liquids since march 15! It's driving me crazy :/ I hope everything starts to go better for you soon. I feel like I've fallen behind everyone else's progress who had a date around mine. I have finally come to terms with the fact that I had to put my health first and I will probably just move a little slower on this journey. I know I will get to my goal, but my body needs time to heal first. I wish you a speedy recovery. Feel free to intact me if you like. It sounds like we probably share some of the same feelings about what s going on, just different issues to deal with.
  6. Having egg drop soup for dinner
  7. You can contact your surgeon for a prescription for nausea like zofran. That may help. I've also read that some people do better with room temperature or warn drinks vs cold. Hope that helps.
