  1. Lol! I didn't even say dogs! It must be the fine meds they have me on at the hospital! At least it sounded better than 90% of the text I've sent out!
  2. Tonight is the first night I get food through my new pic line! I'm super excited!!!!!
  3. For mine we had to cage them for a few days. Just in the house in their normal cages we use for bedtime / feeding. After those first couple days they were fine. They were just so excited to see me that first day they probably woulda killed me by jumping all over me!
  4. Looking great! Keep up the greAt job!
  5. Plus I must say I absolutely love all of my drs and nurses!
  6. So I was readmitted today for another week. Today they inserted a drainage tube in my abdomen. That seemed to have helped relieve some of the issues. Although that itself cause more pain :/ anyways step one complete! Tomorrow step 2 is having a pic line done. Hopefully from there things will just a start looking up! I'm a little bummed because we had a small trip planned to San Antonio starting this weekend. I am more bummed out by the fact that I am NPO! No water by mouth! don't even care about the food. Water is my favorites!!!!
  7. Thanks! Just glad I listened to my 'gut' to get my butt to the er finally!
  8. Back in hospital. After several days of trying to deal with what I thought was just your average pain after surgery I finally gave in and went to the er. Got admitted yesterday. So far cat scans upper gi X-rays, and much more to come. Today is a procedure to add a drain and possibly feeding tube. Will go from there and see if that resolves the issue. There is a leak into the remnant stomach and possibly fissures?? Even after all this I do not regret what I have done. I hope things start looking better soon
  9. Welcome. I hope your time flies by
  10. I'm in the same boat! In the last few days I have had to just force myself to drink to get the protein. I took someone's advice and got the Premier Protein in chocolate pre made at Costco. In 11oz it gives me 30g protein. I just pour it into a small 2 ounce measuring cup and basically do shots every 15-30 minutes of it.
  11. Still full liquids for me :/ so tonight cream of chicken soup. Can't wait for puréed food!!
  12. Yep! I thought it was just me! When I came home from the hospital I could smell every wallflower and candle I had in the house! It was very overwhelming. Hoping it doesn't stay this sensitive!!
  13. Good luck on Monday!
  14. I took gas x strips with me, but my hospital wouldn't let me use anything. Luckily I didn't have, or maybe I was in such other pain i didn't feel the gas pains
  15. I came home on day 4 post op. started walking on day 5. I had some complications from surgery so my first walks have only been a few houses down and then back. I'm not up to a mile a day, but doing 30 minutes. Just splitting mine up into different times..10 here...10 there. Good luck to you oh I am now 9 days post op.
  16. Oops! Apple juice sure wasn't my friend! It helped me have some (TMI) runs!
