  1. Well this is it I guess. Finally! I am so hungry and I think I may beat up the nurse for her coffee LOL
  2. This may sound like a dumb question, but do you wear a bra at the hospital?? Or should I bring a sports bra?
  3. No I just took some Tylenol. Did absolutely nothing I am feeling a lot better today though!
  4. Just wondering...every time I've visited someone at the hospital they've complained they were cold, and the hospital blankets are so thin. Would it be a good idea to bring a blanket?
  5. Making my packing list for tomorrow night. Any suggestions on what I should/shouldn't pack?
  6. I think it's because of my period. Of course I'd get it right before surgery. Really heavy too. Back hurts, feeling nauseous, really tired....I hope it goes away before surgery. Well if not, maybe the pain meds will help LOL
  7. I was told by the nutritionist not to take the all-in-one stuff. You have to take the calcium and iron separately and at least 2 hours apart. Calcium blocks the absorption of iron. They're probably fine as long as you're taking iron supplements.
  8. Thanks lol I found the magnesium citrate. I got a soap, not sure if its the same one they said to get but it'll do.
  9. The stuff they have you buy to wash with before surgery? Also what's the stuff called that you drink to....clean you out?
  10. I had cancelled my gym membership mix January because with my odd work schedule I was never able to go. Well, wouldn't you know that 2 weeks later they changed my schedule. So now I'm on normal hours, 9-6. I signed back up the other day. But how long after surgery should I wait before I start going to the gym? I know at first I'll only be able to do the treadmill and maybe the elliptical. I'll definitely wait awhile before I start pounding weights LOL. But is 2-3 weeks post op a pretty safe time frame?
  11. I'm trying so hard to eat as little as I can so I lose as much as possible before surgery. It's driving me insane being hungry all the time! I am eating, I have a Protein shake for Breakfast and eat lightly for lunch and dinner but surgery isn't until 2/27 and I don't know if I can make it. I know realistically it isn't true, but I feel like I'm going to be hungry forever. UGHHHH
  12. From Massachusetts. Having mine on 2/27 at Tobey Hospital in Wareham. Ps, we're buried in snow here and been without power or heat since Friday night. Brrrrrr
  13. Haven tried them yet but I'm hoping they're good! Just bought a box of soups for early post-op.
  14. Ooh I hope so!
  15. I also have hypothyroidism. I had it mostly when I was a kid, but as an adult I had been tested many times and was always told my levels were fine, while not on medication. Now when I went for my preop labs they said my levels were slightly high, so I'm hoping it won't effect my weight loss too much.
  16. I've never even heard of this.....but I would assume you should write about what would be beneficial to them. You'd be healthier, so less doctor and prescription costs.
  17. It does have calcium as well.
  18. Skim milk is great as long as you can tolerate it. It has the protein and no fat. Not everyone can tolerate the lactose. I'm kinda lactose intolerant already and I'm preop so I'm expecting to not be able to drink milk at all. There's also almond milk and it's absolutely delicious in protein shakes!
  19. Good for you!! I tell people too, I'm happy about my decision and I want to share it
  20. Dr Cudjo?? Hmm I'm not sure I'd trust someone with a name like that LOL
  21. Just left my preop. Lost another 2 pounds, so that's 11 of the 19 pounds he wants me to lose. He said he won't cancel me over the 8 pounds. If I gain anything he WILL cancel, so I have to keep at it and at least maintain what I've lost! So relieved!
  22. Think I might see if they'll let me exchange the hard pills for the chewable ones. They're huge and I'm not sure I will be able to tolerate them.
