  2. Ok I was never a fan of yoga until now. I discovered hot yoga. Its all about stretching and isolating muscle groups. 90 minutes all done in a moist heated room its so cleansing. You feel like you shed so much weight after class from sweating! Seriously if you haven't tried it yet. Do it! Its a nice addition to the gym. Anyone else have something new to share?
  3. Has anyone else experienced dumping the following morning? Also, most anything I dump is usually something that was too rich not necessary sugars
  4. I'm 50 takes more time for results but still in the game, right gang?
  5. I need to get a strategy perhaps my starter could be some sort of soup or protein . Just need to work adjustments right?
  6. Last night we went out to dinner, after i cleared everything off my plate into the togo box it was nice just to watch people eat. Geesh! 2 small bites and salmon was all i could do. What a shocker for me.
  7. What i call a mental plateau is when I get into a funk feeling like all this hard work is showing nothing in return. It's also annoying when someone says to me "if I ate and worked out as much as you, I'd be a railing". So, then i struggle with staying motivated.
  8. When the scale stalls, how do you prevent yourself form stalling alongside?
  9. It seems as if I hit mental plateaus. Why ? Any one else?
  10. I have a few under my belt. Its a personal best thing. Also when you get caught up in the moment you don't even realize that you're actually doing a race. Take your time soak it all in then wear that new 5k tee shirt with pride.
  11. I started elliptical 2nd week post op. Now post 8wk I am able to cross train without limits. I have noticed I crave the variety more now.
  12. WOW is all I can say. Has anybody tried this style? I add this 1 or 2x weekly to my workout schedule. Its amazing. Google this if you've never heard of it!
  13. Good to learn. Thanks
  14. It seems like we all have varied symptoms. Interested to hear others out there
  15. I noticed many of us take biotin. I don't have this on my list. What is biotin and its function. I may need to add this on my dailies
  16. Hey all, just curious about something. Although I haven't experienced "dumping" I do notice however if I had something that wasn't agreeable I have a delayed reaction the following morning. Anybody else ?
  17. Ugh can I relate! Its only with my DH tho. I am being treated since 2009 for depression/anxiety due to a trauma which involved DH. It feel like since surgery more feelings have surfaced. I plan to talk with my Dr. Perhaps my RX needs adjusting. Presently I am on wellbutrin after viewing posts here I may discuss switching to prozac. Anyone have weight issues due to prozac?
  18. All is good. my revision went smoothly- I walked the first day- slept like a hibernating bear too. the only pain I can really complain about was the headaches I had 3 nights in a row while at the hospital. Turns out I dont get on too well with that morphine drip. Day 3 starting liquids and have been just fine. Belly is sore from bending and stretching too much once I got home. Abdominal muscles feel really worked! I have enjoyed my couch nights- just me the tree lights and junky TV. Not being dependant to drive does suck tho since I need to finish my Christmas Shopping, Also, I am wired at night- cant seem to fall asleep til like 4am. Not even tired during the day either, strange Thanks everyone,I know your positive thoughts support and prayers were key in this very pleasant experience these first 5 days, Nighty night my friends
  19. ok the reality s really kicking in. I am holding my 3 yr old and am feeling really sad. I hope he does fine without mama being home. I am scared and anxious. I am already homesick.
  20. Hi All I am so ready to get this band out and have my RNY tomorrow morning 7:30am My band has caused me so many issues ranging from ulcers, erosions etc... I am worried if it is that bad once My surgeon is in there he will not be able to complete my revision. So, I really need your thoughts and prayers please for a complete success! Warm up my spot on that bench. Blessings to you all Thanks xox ~Linda
  21. Hi Rhonda- You and I are sharing allot in common. Lap Band failed and my revision surgery is Dec.11th too! The only thing I am nervous about is waking up and finding out just the lap was removed. I am most likely all worked up about nothing. I am so ready for this. I noticed these past few days, I am being really edgy and snapping at everyone. I feel like a hermit. Whats up with that? Nice to meet you, Linda
  22. Hope you are enjoying the first night with your "new you"! Also my prayers and positive thoughts to all xox
  23. Did you blend it all or did yo use a juicer? Ginger is really good for your tummy I hear
  24. I agree, every night just toss them out the window. What they are doing is no different than bringing vodka into the house while you in AA.
