  1. My Dr advised me to keep this on hand for when a food gets stuck..i just used it and it seems to help
  2. Sorry to hear that...i had some ham again this morning scrambled up in an egg with a dash of moz cheese..was really good but I could only eat half....my dog loves me even more since surgery haha!
  3. Hope you're all feeling better soon
  4. The pie sounds great! And a nibble or two isn't so bad..before it would have been more than a little nibble for me! I always think it's best to have a small bite of something to ease the craving rather than trying not to have anything and then LoO pretty soon you cave and eat the whole thing! That's how I am anyway...I'm happy to report I had no issues with the ham! I had just a small piece and about 3tsp of cheesy potatoes and half a dinner roll...i was going to say that's the smallest holiday meal I've ever had but I guess Thanksgiving I was in the hospital and only had a bit of cream soup!
  5. Yes most definitely a struggle lol! I didn't do any baking but I did pick up some goodie trays at Walmart..I'm trying to streer clear! Ugh I have had a couple nibbles tho...sad it's not making me sick! I've tried to keep the nibbling to some cheese and special k crackers but I found myself looking at the cookies..break one little piece off..yep, the rest is still there teasing me!
  6. Sending some prayers...sorry you're having such a hard time
  7. I guess I'll just have to try and find out..
  8. Just want to wish you all a blessed holiday...and with the new year may we all have continued success with our journey!
  9. Mmm...i was almost thinking of making prime rib....I'm worried about eating too much the next couple days lol!
  10. Wow! That's great! I'm always amazed when I read someone went home the next day and no pain! I still deal with a bit of pain but maybe because I also had my gallbladder removed and hernia repair....how are you doing with getting enough fluids in? Is it going ok?
  11. Oh good for you..how are you feeling? I'm guessing it might be a slippery slope for you at first? I'm not sure but your Dr I'm sure has a good plan for you..wouldn't that be great to stay off all the meds? Are you home now or still in the hospital?
  12. I didn't have diabetes...only high blood pressure but I'm sure I was borderline diabetic...and yes I'm eating now..in a few days I can start regular food..I'm 5 wks out and have been dealing well with soft foods..few things haven't agreed with me but it's trial and error...I'm debating if I'm ready to try ham tomorrow! How about you Theresa? Have you had surgery?
  13. How are you coming along worm?
  14. Ok thanks guys..i had pork steak with no trouble but I guess I'll just have to try or opt for something else..it's just my sons, grandson and myself so I won't have to worry about offending any other dinner guests....
  15. Haha I could not stand the smell of coffee after surgery...i don't know what gorilla pee smells like but I was sure it smelled like coffee!
  16. Ok I'm allowed to start regular food now..I'm making ham dinner for my family for Christmas...I'm a little leary of trying ham...I'vE had some pork and it was ok...just wondering if ham might be too much bling so early out (5 wk) ...has anyone tried it yet?
  17. Unfortunately yes..last night I couldn't resist trying one small bite of bday cake..it was andes mint chocolate..was nauseated for 2hrs then finally started to vomit...every time I try to take my chantix I dump and it's miserable but it only lasts 5 min to 20 minutes....
  18. Great job! I can't wait to get there!
  19. I miss just being able to chug a glass of cold milk!
  20. I don'T crave soda..i gave up d coke 2 months before surgery...but I do wish I could CHUG something! Sip sip sip....
