    Self-Sabotage & why I eat crap

Hi everyone, I have recently gained 25 lbs since my surgery three years ago by eating crap when stressed. I too love Brene Brown. She is so awesome. Also, I have been in therapy since surgery. I started a new position at work a year ago and that was it. Stress from it got the best of me. Now I'm back on track thanks to my surgeons office. The LVN and PA are life savers. I have been going for two weeks. The first week I stayed the same the second week lost four pounds. Only 21 pounds more.

    Where's the "support"?

I agree with you. We need to stop shaming people because this is a very personal journey for each of us.

    Where do you find comfort?

I have had therapy six months prior to surgery and I will be two years out in January. It is a mind issue for me and continues to be. I am 39 and I went back to school for my bachelors and I received a promotion in my career. I never thought that I ate because of stress boy was I wrong. So I say continue your journey whichever way you think will help.

    Three Years Post-op Today

Your words of inspiration help me to realize just how important working out is. Do you ever get dizzy when exercising?

    Goal!

    Great job and congrats!
  7. I am an addict of food in general! I have lost a total of 140lbs and my surgery was performed January 2013. I continue to struggle with this everyday. I was really good for a year and a half and started eating some not so good food every now and then. I have had dumping but it takes a lot to get there. Remember here is where we get support and I continue to go to therapy and have since before the surgery. It is key to my success!

Three years out from my surgery

I had my rny in January 2013. I have lost 140 lbs and it truly has saved my life but without therapy and a lot of hard work anything is possible.
  10. pre surgery weight 306. And now 165. Feeling wonderful and loving myself again! A word of advice: keep getting support and go to therapy or support groups. It will help from gaining the weight again.
