    Im So Itchy Help !

Slapping them feels good-someone on here told me to try that. But my itch turned into a severe allergic reaction to the surgical glue. This was 6 days post op that started! I'm two weeks post op now and it's still making me nuts. Surgeon said cortisone cream for the itch and benedryl for the rash. Try not to scratch-hot shower water is heaven but probably isn't good for it.

So happy for everyone! We're like a family rooting for each other! I'm down 27 pounds from start of liquid pre op diet. Crazy! 7 days post op and feeling really good-except for allergy to surgical glue. Hang in there all and keep posting!
  6. Yes tried cortisone cream it does help some but not for long. Doing research online someone said try Pepcid ac - strong histamine blocker. I will do that too.
  7. Well Paul and steph- I tried slapping and the vagisil. Worked-but went for my one week appt today and apparently I'm having a bad allergic reaction to the surgical glue at my incision sites. That has spread all over my stomach and if it wasn't so funny I'd be mad! LOL. Glad it's not an infection though...just have to take benedryl and use cortisone cream for a while. Neither has done anything.

    How Long?

Thank you all-yes glad we are not alone in feeling like this. Almost feels like a bad flu. Great to know another week should be better and down the road what we have to look forward to!
  10. How long until I feel normal? I am 5 days out and I'm getting my protein and liquids. I just feel queasy and nauseous all the time. Incision pain is hardly noticeable-not taking lortab or Tylenol for that-gas x only helps for a minute.. Is there something I can do or take for the tummy yucks?
  11. Ok thanks. Pretty sure I would not have thought of that Paul! It works! LOL
  12. Four days post op and my incision sites are itching really bad. Help please!

It does seem crazy to go home the next day after major surgery! Mine was Tuesday 9/11 and I was released at 2pm next day! Does feel more comfy in my own bed. Incisions look great and pain is tolerable with just Tylenol. I do have lortab if I need it though. Best wishes everyone I'll see you on the other side! For the chart--starting weight 321 surgery date 294 Mo
