  1. I'm 6.5 weeks post and still very emotional, but I'm not naturally an emotional person and its making me very irritable. I talked to Dr and it is all of the hormone changes. I just want to feel normal and not crying or depressed moods ....its so not like me! Surgery 7/25/12
  2. Great thread! I've always been the big girl in school, biggest out of my friends, dated guys who love big and full size etc. So I was happy in my skin. When I got married and got pregnant with our honeymoon baby I thought ok I'm going to gain.... And I did. After having her I said I would never be "that"big again... But I did. I got there again (not pregnant) and higher! I could not go anywhere without sweating (gross) and with a now 2 yr old keeping up was hard. My Dr had always suggested it but I was in total denial- so I went through all the classes thinking I'll learn how to lose and be okay... Well after all classes I decided i needed more help! Sat down with the hubby and we decided its best for me and my family. And its been the best thing. I can't wait to be out of the 300's and will never see 389 again! I used to be the person who thought wls surgery was the easy way out, well im eating my words because its not! It has not been easy even making the decision! Surgery 7/25/12

  8. I am really starting to hate "the look." Let me describe and I'm sure many can relate, you see someone they know about surgery or heard whatever... And you smile HI! and it comes..... The complete UP & DOWN and back to eye contact before they respond hi. I find it a little uncomfortable. Im only 6 weeks out you can see a change but I'm still big and don't know your expectations to MY wls. But everyone gives me the looks! Ugh! Surgery 7/25/12

  13. I thought I would still be keeping it a secret but I tell people who ask. I've found myself more people than I ever thought I would. I agree people are judgemental asses but just as I'm not perfect NEITHER are they lol. I've been surprised at the support I've gotten and people are kind (to my face). Surgery 7/25/12
  14. Weekend indulgent... It's so hot outside omg... We took our 2 year to a farm and enjoyed the day minus the sun burn! Haven't had one since before surgery. Ice & fruit! Went down cold and completely satisfying! But next weekend its a better holiday for me! It's my birthday!
