  1. I tried having my Protein hake on the go this morning, 1wk post op, man did I tire easy but once I kept drinking and sat for an hour I was totally fine. I think your igbt about feels like thanksgiving dinner, I believe our pouch is full cause it's so small and you just need a little rest. Listen to your body, that's what I'm doing and it sure feels much better.
  2. Wow! I love that this question generated so much info! I had no idea what the sugar intake on semen was...I wonder what the Protein is like if any?! lol My doc didn't say anything about sex except go at er' when your ready. I was ready, I did. Fertility was mentioned as well so safety is absolutely important.
  3. Had kinda started a thread earlier however I just want to know what folks are experiencing and how soon are you experiencing sex after surgery? I was 5 days post op and it was incredably helpful with gas and cramping the next day. Positions can be a little tough but worth it! ????
  4. Thank goodness! You just never know hey?! It would be devastating to go under the knife again, sorry you had such a scare. Glad your home:D
  5. That must have been scary, I'm so glad to hear that your doing alright! xoxo
  6. Well I'm 1wk post and walking about 45mins a day..I get a little light headed at times but then I slow down. Thx for the responses folks:)
  7. I mix Boost Diabetic (found at drug stores and wal Mart I'm sure) and pack of Presidents Choice whey Protein for a total of 54 grams of protein in 250ml. It tastes like a frothy pudding, yummy! The carbohydrates are 16.5g in total but at this point I'm not entire sure how awful that is. 360Calories 1g sugar
  8. Thanks folks. I'll definitely chat with my dietician:)

  13. Thanks! I'm 6 days post op and when I read back about how scared I was I'm so thankful that's over! I'm feeling pretty good but it takes some getting use to, my energy levels suck but I'm alive and well!
  14. You lost over 200lbs! That's amazing!!! I'm 6 days post op and I'm not taking anything at all except Vitamins. Do you need the acud drugs?
  15. I chewed rye bread last night and I could actually taste the sugar! So weird!
  16. Not only does it depend on your surgeon but it depends on your weight and fat around the midsection for you liver shrinking diet. I did 2 weeks of boost diabetic (not diabetic but has more protein) and still had some very healthy meals and lost 16lbs. The doc asked about my weight loss but certainly didn't make a big deal about it.
  17. Good point moofish, as well, maybe take a wall during supper or lunch and have breakfast in your room in the am...that way you only have one meal a day with the crew and this will help take your mind off all the food to. I travel a lot for business and I love doing my own thing at meal times, gives me a better energy for the day. You'll do great! Remember you did this due you, you come first.
  18. I can totally see how it happened! Wow! So are you still on softs than?
  19. Awesome Lacy! I'm learning more and more to just listen to my body, I chewed a small piece of pickle today and spit...it was damn good!
  20. Same except mine was a French fry, I even rinsed my mouth out so no little pieces would tumble down...lol
  21. 5 days post op and I did the chew and spit..not hungry just craving, sigh'
  22. All so true! My nurse today couldn't stop laughing but the reality is sex is so great on so many levels!! Get it on all you RNY life changers! Get, it, on!
