  2. I'm 2 days post op and I purchased a pill cutter, taking my pain meds by 1/4's or 1/3's depending how they crack. I swallow with an punch of my protein drink and it goes down smooth and tasteless tha k goodness!
  3. Good to know! I'm definitly peeing like crazy, lol. Gas is starting again now that I'm attempting protein drinks but the walking is helpful!
  4. Everything happens for a reason, you had your surgery and you know what to do but feelings of depression can sure make it impossible to move forward. Reach out to a good friend or a professional, sounds like you have a lot of grief to deal with and without dealing with history your futur will only stand still until you do. With much love and respect. 37lbs btw is cake once you get into it my dear.
  5. I'm only day 2 post op and I'm so excited for toast in a month it so!
  6. Ugh! Now this isn't a sign of giving up, it's a sigh of how much slower life has become. I'm nowhere near focused on numbers lost but more focused on easing the gas and getting in Water. I haven't eatin' anything yet, will start Protein shakes again today but yesterday it was a knife in my stomach. Taking GasX and t3's for pain. Walking 20 mins each day....Also laid in my stomach at once point, ouch!! Up early and still tired...any suggestions how I can proceed with the most comfort?
  7. I'm one day post op, I have been walking around every couple of hours but my gas is bad:( sticking to water, the nurses attempted jello and boost but it made it worst...ouch!
  8. Was going for 180 but would love 160! At which point I'll change my goal to 140...lol...

  10. MY surgery is this Wednesday and I feel like everything I'm doing will be the last time I'm doping it. Even writing MSG's to folks I'm extra nice cause I don't the last thing I say to be mediocre...lol, kinda silly isn't it. But I've been dreaming about death and found a dead mouse in the back lane and dead bird in my front yard...I'm scared I'll be lost in the OR, loose my life to blood loss or complications...sigh'
  11. Well after I cheated once I went ahead and cheated 4 more times...it was all freash/raw veggies, Protein and steamed veggies...still lost weight which is good but now I'm on my liquid diet again for two days just before my operation, clear everything out!
  12. Great step! I think the hardest part is going through all the initial stuff and wondering about things, dieting, seeing medical professionals, this whole journey is insanely demanding! Lol.
  13. Who's having their surgery August 15? And how are you doing/feeling/thinking?
  14. Thanks everybody! This gives me a better perspective on things:)
  15. Ugh! I'm in Disney World, steamer shrimp with a salad was my weakness and I went for it. Didn't each much of it cause my stomach is smaller from the liquid diet starting a week ago...how much trouble am I in?
  16. I'm on day 5 of liquid diet, I have chew on a chip and spot it out, seems to curb my craving for the night...ugh!
  17. I've been having sugar free jello, that's it, the odd piece of lettuce for the crunchiness...I traveled 8hrs to Minniapolis today and I have 3 more fy on the road to Florida...it's sooo hard:( ugh!
  18. The only thing I can have is boost and sugar free Jello...I'd kill for some soup! Lol. Thanks for the encouraging words:)
  19. Elephants are also some of the worlds amazing creatures. Incredably smart, kind and have a great memory. You my dear are such a gift and I bet you carry some of those qualities as well. I'm a total baby elephant do lets be elephants together and embrace ourselves just the way we are, just for today, we'll worry about tomorrow when it comes:)
  20. 4th day of liquid diet....feeling tired...emotional...happy but get frustrated easily. Headed on a road trip to Florida tomorrow AM with family in an RV, looking forward to it! It'll keep me preoccupied.
  21. Planned a nice super with my family tonight, it was delicious and fun! However I felt disconnected, like I was secretly moving away from then and nesting inside to prepare for a whole new life starting tomorrow. I'm just headed to my Aunties house for some wine and potentially the biggest cry of my life, I'm feeling pretty sad but not depressed, it's all apart of grieving I imagine. I love my family, here's a pic of them:) Over and out! xo
  22. Lol! Love that someone else posted this!! I've been totally fantasizing about skinny however my fantasies include being a great dancer, actress traveler, lol.
