  3. MichK. I to had surgery on Monday the 19th. I started out pretty good but I'm back in the hospital now. Had to have a stricture fixed. I'm a little nauseated and I'm very sore now but ok. Having to start all over a again but there seems to be mixed signals with what the Drs. told me and what the orders are. Sigh.. Anyway., What I like so far is G2 low cal grape, Popsicles and propel lemon. Very light flavor in the propel. I also keep going back to ice chips. Hard to track for Water intake but they are so easy to get down. Good luck to you all!

  9. I was only four days out but had a stricture in my small intestine. Let me tell you, you can't tolerate even water. So make sure your dr know all the details. I had another surgery yesterday now it seems like it's just the pain meds making me sick. There are about three different prescriptions they can offer you as well. One is a patch for behind the ear. Good luck!
  10. Tstark: I had surgery Monday and the second was yesterday. I'm feeling pretty good. Rey said it was an easy but critical fix.
  11. Music: I can't agree more. I've been through a lot this week and I just keep thinking about the ones who have struggled more but push threw it.

  13. Eva.. So glad you are doing better and yes it is so scary. I am too thinking about progressing into our new lives. I was so scared yesterday. Was doing great and then started vomiting everything up including pains meds. I was admitted back into the hospital today and had to have a second surgery to fix and intestinal stricture. Oh my was it awful. But seem ok now.
  14. Peachee, I hear you! Hope you feel better. I'm siting here in the hospital after my second surgery. I had an intestinal stricture. What a bitch. I was SOOO sick. Nothing would stay down. Horrible gas pains since nothing would stay down. Feeling better now but wow I wish I hadn't done this over the last 24 hours. Hoping things pick up now.
  15. No stomach noises just still bad gas pains. Still on pain meds just in case. Burping a lot but no gas. I know tmi but I really wish I did have it. Gas is all In my lower abdomen. Living on Popsicles and water. Not ready for broth or protein yet. Less nauseated. So that's good. Hope all are well. Have a great thanksgiving!!!

  17. You don't have to. I'm not telling my family. It will be hard but it's none of their business. Just say you are on a strict diet or don't feel well. I know how you feel. Good luck.
  18. Well day two and so far so good. It is the little things like underwear that make you happy. Liquids seem to be ok and the pain is manageable. Going to order another Popsicle. Should go home this afternoon. :-). Good luck to all the surgeries today and hope all are doing well from this week!
  19. Hi guys!! 24 hours post op now and I'm doing pretty good. Sipping water. Walking a bit and cleaned my self up! Lol. Off the pain pump thank God! It was making me so nauseated. Let me tell you dry heaves and hiccups suck!! It's hard to keep from falling a sleep which makes drinking hard. Ordering a SF raspberry Popsicle for dinner. Yea ! Glad to hear my surgery buddies are ok!!
  20. I'm in my room. Gas pains and I'm nauseated. Order than that I seem ok
  21. Wow. Great job and good luck on the last 20!!
  22. Aimee: hi and welcome!! This is the best place to be for info! I've been here since July and today is my big day! I would recommend watching the November and December surgery postings in the pre-op forum and the same ones in the post-op forums. You can literally "watch" all of us progress thru the process from the start. Great info and it helps with the nerves to know what to expect. You will also learn a lot the dr don't tell you. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask any question here. No one is judgmental and very helpful!!
  23. I did meet with mine earlier on and then about two weeks before. Very brief meetings. The PA and nurses handle everything else.
